Can you transfer gold between characters ?
In Grim Dawn, there is no gold, just iron bits 
And yes (requires Forgotten Gods xpac) Near the smuggler in the Conclave of the Three is another vendor that sells iron bars, which are items you can transfer to other chars and then turn into the same amount of iron bits.
