Good spots for eating in Amsterdam

So in a month or so i’m leaving for a short trip in Amsterdam ( another noisy silly italian pestering the city) since food is a high priority in my travel book is there some good soul willing to give some advice?

I’m open to everything as long it’s not much expensive (in a range form 20 to 30 euro it’s ok) ethnic restaurants, local stuff. Just shoot and i will check em!

I could have sworn I saved the business card from this place but my searches have come up empty, it was ~12 years ago anyway, so who knows if it is still there. But when I was in Amsterdam last, we found a place way off the tourist trail that had ribs and fries and we ate there 4 out of the 5 nights it was so good.

Just go into dark and desolate looking places away from the tourists, they are the ones the locals eat at and have good food.

If you find this rib place, let me know the name of it. I always intended to return there someday.

And beware of the bikes, the guy I was with almost got himself killed 5 times a day walking around cause he never could get his head around the concept that there are bikes everywhere.

Have fun.

come and visit me :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t really live close to Amsterdam but we can meet up haha

closer to 's-Hertogenbosch

and yes don’t go to the tourist area in Amsterdam it sucks, most of it is expensive and it’s not even good
