Hello all! For starters, a brief history of my ARPGing… Growing up, I could never play Diablo I or II, being that I was raised in a heavily sheltered, Christian-comatose state. My first encounter to the genre was with Nox which was hilariously entertaining but too difficult for me in the late game. I never took much interest in any other ARPGs until a friend introduced me to Titan Quest. He may as well have shoved a needle in my arm and fed me smack intravenously.
Now I was considering getting Diablo 3 (only out of pure boredom), when I stumbled across a Titan Quest thread in the D3 forums and found mention of Grim Dawn. And once I found out that it’s being made independently by some of the late Iron Lore’s finest, well… now here I am, and I can’t wait to play!
i don’t get this logic, but i guess banning wolfenstein over here uses the same one. “don’t get in contact with evil, especially not pretending to fight it! you’re safe from everything you’re blissfully unaware of!” sooo, can you hold out, are you clean or should we kickstart you to crate entertainmnet hq?
I am also from kansas as well, glad I got in on the kickstarter, Im a 50 year old grandfather and gamer. My son told me about the game, loved titan quest, nox, diablo games as well.
Welcome Asmodeus and Giletus, glad you decided to join us. As an Okie I fully understand your problem Asmodeus, but am very glad your friend “pointed” you in the direction of TQ.
Giletus, we don’t care what age you are, just come on and join the fun. I’m an oldie too; it doesn’t matter if you’re enjoying the game.
And don’t forget to visit www.titanquest.net for more fun/info on Titan Quest if you haven’t found the website already.
Well, since this is the Greetings from Kansas thread, I suppose it’s the appropriate place to post first, hailing from this sleepy state myself.
So greetings!
Been a big Diablo fan for ages, never played TQ. Bought D3, which was fun enough for a week or so, but it’s lack of replayability became quickly apparent. No depth to explore. Someone on the forums mentioned Grim Dawn, which has led me here. I’m pretty sure this is the meat I’ve been craving. Hopefully my preorder will help development along as I eagerly anticipate the alpha. My thanks to the devs.
