Grim Dawn Add-On (leaked changelog!!1)

I found the leaked changelog for the Grim Dawn addon. Enjoy!

[Tech]

  • Fixed the occasional freeze on exit to menu or exit to desktop.

[Game]

  • Players can now reach up to level 100.
  • From level 86 to 100 only 1 skill point will be awarded (15 total from 86 to 100).
  • Added a new challenge dungeon inhabited by Cronleys Gang. The dungeon can be found on the large island, east of Homestead.
  • Added a new challenge dungeon inhabited by Aetherials. The dungeon can be found in the mountains, west of Deadman’s Gulch.
  • Act 5 is now accessible in the area to the south and southwest of Devils Crossing.
  • Added 2 new friendly factions to the Act 5 area.
  • Added a new hostile faction and new enemy types to Act 5 area. The faction will also feature a new challenge dungeon.
  • Added a new, large challenge dungeon to Act 5 area. The dungeon is only accessible on ultimate difficulty and separated in 2 segments. The first segment will feature 10 bosses that will drop level 90 epic and legendary items. These 10 will typically be themed bosses that each rely on different types of resists and damage and also have an inclination to drop certain types of loot. The second segment is a challenge dungeon with 5 bosses that have a small chance to drop some of the new Ultra Rare Level 100 legendary items. The second segment will require a new, special key to access.
  • Expect all the new bosses to have more challenging and dynamic mechanics than anything you encountered before. You might find that simply hitting them as hard as you can doesn’t always work the way you want it. At other times you might find that you are still not hitting them hard enough before they unleash their wrath on you.
  • Spirit now grants a small percentage of spell absorption, reducing the damage you take from any non physical spells and skills. 1000 points of spirit grant roughly 5% of absorption. Though the effectiveness will be subject to diminishing returns.
  • Offensive Ability and Defensive Ability are now subject to diminishing returns at very high or very low values. This will reduce the incentive to solely stack any of these stats over others to a certain level.
  • Added new devotion shrines to act 5.
  • Added a new quest that provides +10/+20/+30 once to all stats, depending on difficulty.

[Itemization]

  • Added new level 90 transcendent epic items. These will be updated version of previous epic or empowered epic items.
  • Added new level 90 legendary items. There will be roughly the double number of level 90 legendary items then there were level 75 legendary items, in order to support every possible build.
  • Added level 100 legendary items. These items are exceedingly rare and provide general bonuses and no class or damage type specific bonuses. They will surpass any other item in raw armor or damage stats. Typical modifications on these items are +x% to all attributes, +x% all damage, +x% critical damage, +x% maximum resistance, +x% resistance, +x% attack speed, +x points to all skills, +x points to all skills in the mastery with the most / least skill points allocated and many other neutral modifiers.
  • Crafting materials now provide a roughly 80% larger bonus when applied on two-handed weapons.
  • Added new high level crafting materials and augments. Some of them capable of providing bonuses to certain skills.
  • Increased the base damage on two-handed ranged weapons to make them more viable.
  • Normalized flat bonus damage to multiply depending on weapon base speed.

[Class & Skills]
Devotion

  • Up to 60 devotion points can be spent on constellations.
  • Using better telescopes, the astronomers of Cairn have discovered 15 new constellations to complement or define your builds.
  • Minor balance changes to devotions, generally making some of them more appealing.

Classes

  • Revised some masteries to provide greater synergies between certain combinations.
  • Added a new mastery, bringing the total number of classes from 15 to 21. Additional information about the new class will be revealed later on.

Soldier

  • Cadence: The third hit of a Cadence may now trigger chance to be used skills, such as Markovian’s Advantage. If the attack is used in combination with the third hit of Cadence, the effect will be multiplied and applied as one attack.

Disclaimer:
In case you actually believed this. These are not the real patch notes for the Add-on.

Nice try, Corvo.

I do what I can, even though I am not sure what corvo means.

It is a quote from Dishonored. Corvo is a name.

And to be honest, you writeup looks pretty believable, won’t be surprised if real one will be very similar.

I see, thanks mate.
Though the whole thing is more of a wishlist.

This actually made me sad, because that changelog looked really interesting!

New factions, newer act, loads of newer and more powerful items? This was too good to be true to begin with. Nice write-up though. Thanks for the chuckles.

Suspension of disbelief: gone.

Yeah I was worried about that one too, because it’s a different style from the other points.
Good pointing that out though.
