Grim Dawn becomes multilingual

Thanks to a lot of effort from Grim Dawn players (presumably from all over the world), we have the following non-english language projects:
(in no particular order)

If you do not see your language here, check out this developer post.

Also, Cavar is thinking of developing an interesting program for translators here.

Be sure to post here if you start another project so it can get on the linklist. And thanks to everyone involved, especially those with languages that abuse gender in unfathomable ways. :stuck_out_tongue:

Im just gonna point out its in alphabetical order and slowly leave:D

Very cool! congrats and admiration to those who are working hard at this

And Spanish? … the second most spoken language in the world …

:furious::furious::furious::furious:

If you’d like to start the Spanish translation, you can download the files here.

By that standard you would also be implying that Mandarin Chinese should take priority 1st?? Then Arabic 4th?? Sorry, I just don’t understand your furiosity faces; for something that is being fan driven; meaning you can and are encouraged to be the change you wish to see in the world on this issue.

What are you waiting for, get started if you want it that badly, its a fan service, not an official translation.

Stop derailing the thread already!

Hi master Jiaco.
Yes, it’s a fan-translation, but the quality is here ! ^^

The program of Cavar is very interesting. When finishef, i take it !
Thanks for this thread. I translate this game because i like Crate, i like Titan quest, my favourite Hack’n’slash, and i like Grim Dawn !

Great work Rougecorne

Merci pour ton boulot Rougecorne

There are a big community that have years translating games to spanish: www.clandlan.net

Knowing them, it’s obvious they will be interested in this, specially being RPG, because they focus on that type of games.

Someone please contact them or post in the forums, anyway they are going to know about this soon or later.

So how do the translations install? Do they act as a mod or is the installation method separate? I ask because I’ve got grimdawnmods.com sitting there waiting for modding to be supported (which I’ve heard will be close to or at “release”), but if the community wants a stable place for the language files to be uploaded I’ll get the database set up right away and put a Translations section up.

I think a dev said that Build 16 will explain how to implement the translated localization files. I don’t think it’s possible now.

Gotcha! I shall be prepared

A couple of hours ago I tried to create a new thread for the Italian translation I’m working on here under the Translations forum, but there’s no trace of it.

Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I need the approval of an administrator/moderator?

I don’t think you need approval to post a thread. When you tried, did you get an error message? Did the thread get created, but is now gone?

Threads opened here require mod approval. I went ahead and validated your thread.

No I didn’t get any error message, after clicking on “submit new thread” the browser redirected me on the Translation forum page but the thread was not there. I tried again shortly after, because I thought the first time something went wrong, but even the second attempt failed in the same way.

Edit: Thank you Zantai, I’m sorry for the double thread I created then, I thought the first time something went wrong.

Jiaco, please add another language translation to your thread, me and one more guy are currently doing on czech localization, linked here: http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?p=134933&posted=1#post134933

Simple question, how about adding our wonderfull translations into steam shop page? Ofc only 80%+ finished translations that are working and showing some kind of… level of quality.
As I see, we have French, German, Polish, Spanish and Czech translations that are 80%+ finished and working. I don’t know nothing about other translations and their status with B17 patch.

Devs? Maybe?
Ya know… Here!
