Yeah i asked that as well, plus Mouse & Keyboard Support would be neatâŚ
Any news for a 4k update?
Hello. Two questions. Will there ever be a patch for 4K on SX?
And if the dlc will come out on consoles⌠doesnât it make the âdefinitiveâ version not so definitive?
Great game, but please add a higher resolution. 1080p 60fps for these days is a bit muddy. I think with this engine you could get close to 4k 60fps. Keep in mind im on XSX so obviously im asking for a next gen optimization. Thx devs
Unfortunately but I have to agree on my 55" TV the game does not look very good. The console version needs higher resolution and better shadows to be perfect. FPS drops are on the current resolution anyway so whatâs the difference. Other than that, AA smooths nothing, and only blurs the image even more. Apparently they are supposed to look at the console and SD version after FoA comes out. Weâll seeâŚ
Despite this, GD on the console plays great and itâs hard to tear yourself away from it, because itâs the same great game as on PC.
Hey,
Iâm new to this forum and had a quick question. I was looking to buy the digital version of the game â the Definitive Edition â but for some reason itâs no longer available. Not sure if itâs because of the new DLC announcement or maybe a store region issue?
Cheers!
Welcome to the forum. ![]()
I doubt itâs been removed from the store because of the new expansion under development. Did you check with Xbox support?
Hey there,
Same issue here, Grim Dawn is no more available on the French Xbox store although it still is on the US store.
I donât know whatâs going on, I also thought about the future expansion but it doesnât make sense⌠Searching for grim dawn on the store returns nothing and when you get to the gameâs page from a Google search the purchase button has been deactivated and replaced by a message ânot available separatelyâ ![]()
It involves some new law that passed in the EU, and Microsoft is now complying with, that requires digital storefronts in the EU to provide a public support address and phone number, among other things.
We simply do not have that. We donât even have a central office. We could not add them, so the game got delisted. ![]()
Not exactly conducive to indie companies that do not meet those requirements (who even physically mails support anymoreâŚ).
What! So the gameâs not available in the whole of the EU area now? Geeze! Well done EU. ![]()
Thanks for the clarification.
Itâs a real shame, that means that even if you own the game on Xbox that could be impossible to buy the next expansion ![]()
wouldnât be surprised if itâs MS reading too much/wrong into it, eg how games arenât delisted on Steam or anywhere else
- if i had to take a guess, without knowing the detail/which law in question, itâs MS /the store that has to have contact info(is MS contact nr), not the producers of the goods they sell
If that is the case it seems like a clarification is in order for MS. If not, welcome to the wonderful world of regulations on steroids and (un)intended consequences.
well yea, it could technically be a case of âevery other store/online platform not proper complyingâ with the new law, because EU making braindead regulations harming smaller business more than big corps while purporting to protect/benefit smaller ones âmostâ wouldnât exactly be the first time ![]()
but it just seems kinda strange, specially with Steam being big too, and local (online) stores here also still selling indie game keys
What an ![]()
I see where this is coming from, but itâs the typical EU type of law where they donât know what theyâre actually doing.
I bet itâs this: The EUâs Digital Services Act
Fighting evil ⢠illegal content and societal harms.
![]()
this is going to be fixed somehow, right? ![]()
or no expansion on xbox? ![]()
![]()
Which means I wonât be playing FoA on a console⌠âCool.â Fuck those officials!
if the game really keeps beeing delistet, the option to redeem the expansion with a code could prevent us poor eu-souls from missing out ![]()
or is this done now? are we screwed?
Itâs much more likely that Microsoft is just being stupid and/or monopolistic. This is the company that previously blocked an update because the branding on a trailer didnât get updated with requirements created after the trailer and game were on the platform for sale.
Steam and GOG both are able to sell it in the EU.
