Greetings,
Hope you are well, dear Devs/Admins/Forum.
I play Grim Dawn on Single player, game and crucible mode etc.
I use a lenovo Legion laptop with NVME SSD, 16 GB RAM and nVidia RTX2060 graphics etc.
The Issue is , after playing Grim Dawn on any mode for , say 15-30 minutes, the keyboard keys ( default binding) start behaving irratically and all of a sudden my screen starts rotating player keeps running randomly.
since we usually use ‘<’ and ‘>’ for panning/camera rotation etc., I try to use those stop the rotation but no joy.
Similarly, pressing ‘i’ might open maps or skills or quest etc. everything goes haywire.
the only solution I have is to escape and exit to main or desktop.
Please guide me.
I also got my laptop keyboard chaged but the problem still remains.
I have purchased Grim Dawn via Steam, if that helps.
Thanks.
Do you have a joystick plugged into the laptop? The number one cause for drifting cameras in games on PC since time immemorial is people having an analog controller plugged in and forgotten about, with it usually laying turned upside down somewhere.
If that ain’t it then I would suggest running the repair.exe located in GD’s installation folder and see if that sorts out the issues.
If that ain’t it maybe its something weird with the trackpad or oddball software that was pre-installed on the system.
no, I only play with keyboard and trackpad ( not even remote mouse ).
and like I said, I got the whole laptop keyboard and trackpad replaced just few days ago.
Also, have not faced such issues with other key board intensive games etc.
ok, I will try the repair.exe and see if that helps.
I tried repair of the game , and it reset all settings to default.
I opened the game and however, this time the issue started in around less than a minute, while I was playing casual crucible.
Apologies, it did not allow me to upload the video (3.2 mb, mp4 format) directly. hence, adding as a zip file.
Have you checked the temperature on hardware? Maybe the laptop is getting overheated and in some extreme conditions that could cause the buttons craziness?
