Shields are already pretty pointless unless you have overguard.

Legendary pants and boots (with a few exceptions) seem to be not very popular.

Though `m not the “great builder” other players are I have seen what is taken when I give free legendaries in my regular “Stash Clearing” events. Guess what? Most of the pants and boots are now in my stash…again.

If Overguard gets shot to the shield-buffing stats, shields will be worse, that is true, but they’ll be also better for any other build. Right now it’s pointless to play a Nightblade or Demolitionist with a shield, because we all know Soldier would do that WAY better. Also, you have to remember that Crate team is not a bunch of idiots, but actual humans that listen to the players. If they fuck up Overguard, we’ll tell them and they’ll fix it. It does take time, sometimes (Thermite mines) but it does work, so no need to be angry or disappointed about that.

That’s not the issue, and not needing overguard kinda adds to the point made, that these nerfs lack perspective

You’ll perform way better with another weapon. When I swapped my shield on my DK for another Mindwarp, my damage got drastically increased and I didn’t need additional defense to survive. And that was on a DK.
If you were dual wielding, your character would be twice as good. Shields are just “melee weapon wannabe” which only have a chance to block some damage. I have, and will keep on saying that shields in GD are not shields, because they do nothing but increase your damage values (and randomly add some resists, sometimes). The only reason a shield is a shield for Soldier is because of the massive block increases Overguard and Shield Training grant.
I tried multiple non-soldier shield builds, and they always seemed quite trash with the shield, when I’ve put another melee weapon instead of the shield, they looked way better, even more durable if you had a touch of ADCtH.

I am dual wielding with my build, and successfully so

Monster debuffs that affect Health Regeneration no longer completely negate it.

Yeah, Alex cristals on high shards reduce it from 1k per second to 1 per second.

Increased the Max Distance for Disengage Rune Augment Skills
Increased the Max Distance and Damage on Leap Rune Augment Skills

Irrelevant due to leap animation. In fact, extra distance make it worse, as it trigger long range attack / charges.

Rune Augment - Disorder: increased Cooldown to 4.6s
Rune Augment - Displacement: increased Cooldown to 4.2s

Tincans intensify.

Legendary - Chausses of Barbaros: removed % Armor bonus on the skill proc

Such a welcome change in the world of completely overpowered melee autoatackers. Oh wait.

They wouldnt be used in every build if there were other legendary pants alternatives you know.

The nerf would be OK if it went together with Buffing considerably all other Legendary pants and providing options.

As-is - the options just got hammered down, not increased…

The same can be said for Boots though there are a bit more usable ones (Stormthreads being the prevalent still…).

Just a thought, but is that necessarily a bad thing? By that I mean it also helps enable those not-so-top-tier builds. Kinda like how the Ghoul devotion helps deal with the problem with squishies.

I tend to feel like it’s a decent band aid solution to a deeper problem.

Of course in a perfect world it’d be nice if the root problem were fixed, but that takes time and effort that doesn’t necessarily happen.

they havent really removed the annoying hissing sound from ghost empyrial warriors but rather they have shifted it to another form but much more annoyng ths time in a form of a skill proc. Makes sense! :p:rolleyes:

This is a serious quality control issue!

Don’t know what you guys changed, but I keep hearing these bell sounds when I attack with Primal Strike. It gets pretty annoying when you keep hearing “zing” “zing” “zing” at 3 attacks per second, makes me not wanna play that character :frowning:

Can’t believe how many people are complaining about Hourglass Hour.

Aeon put a lot of work into that, you know.

anyway pretty soon hotfix 4 thread is coming to fix the hourglass sound proc , and maybe hotfix 5 for the armor restoration of barbaros :stuck_out_tongue:

Thank you very much for these updates. The little hourglass that appears to notify you your skill cooldown was reduced by 100% is really nice. Now i don’t need to keep on checking the icon!
