Grim Dawn V1.1.2.0 Preview

I can’t count the number of times I’ve recently seen person A want something changed or a new change reverted, then later on person B asks for it to stay.

Threads like this prove that it’s impossible to please everyone .

I am still waiting for the day that Thermite Mines will not equal trying to play Tetris vs bosses and it will be actually usable. Other than that, awesome patch, 10/10.

Guys, stop complaining or we won’t get previews in the future.

I sure won’t be happy. How do you intend to play Chaos DB caster (not harbinger) ?

The conversion should be moved somewhere accessible

I hope that’s the case again. Z stopped with the previews after the Blademaster nerf patch in vanilla. That thread was a shitstorm iirc, Pierce BM was heavily damaged that patch so I still stand by the points made back then but a lot of the other outrage was unnecessary imo.

They should stick to posting patch notes on the day of release. If the community is serious about a rollback then we have seen that the devs entertain such requests or some workaround is provided.

As for this thread I am just going to grab some popcorn and enjoy the show this time.

Ah,you’re from the other side of the barricade now:D.I don’t think this topic is shitstorm right now.Like every patch there are people happy with some changes and disappointments about nerfs.Preview of the patch actually can help remove some controversial stuff,if players are reasonable.

As a long-time player but mostly lurker, it’s always cracked me up to watch how having a developer that also does community engagement works.

Thanks for the patch! I look forward to playing with it. Especially the new animations and other visuals!

PS: Gimmie more twohander stuff, kk? GIVE ME THINGS*

*I’d write something of actual substance, but I do actually want to play the the patch first.

Chthon, do you have any plans on aetherstorm set taking into account upcoming changes?

That’s true but there are always “unreasonable” players. Heck I have raised my pitchfork to march against Crate before but these days I just don’t give too much of a fuck. I usually wait for the patch to arrive but I am damn sure there are others like how I was before.

Previews in my experience a lot of times end up creating more confusion than before. But to each his own I guess, at the end of the day it’s upto Z to decide what to do.

Only playing for the lore now dude. I have only played with four builds this expac Ret Warlord, CDR Sorc, Poison DEE WH and Frostburn Infiltrator. Think I am done with the game for now till they release Riggs’ new dungeon or the Maw. But will stick around the forums to piss people off. :stuck_out_tongue:

Problem with previews is some people get controversial over something and that’s it. They’ve already decided whatever it is has “killed” their build, so won’t even try the change/s when the patch comes out. So better changelog drops at the same time the patch does. Then, if they’ve got any sense, they’ll try the changes out first before saying something is broken/dead.

We’re getting on for 20 pages in less than 24 hours of Zantai posting this thread. Wonder if it would be that long if he’d waited and posted it as usual - once the patch dropped.

Tbf the patch notes always make it sound like all builds are dead.

But the thing most people will realize soon is that even in major patches even if the patch itself kills the way the currently functions the core of the build itself is left intact. After that it’s just a matter of theorycrafting and min-maxing to find out what works to revive the build.

Even in this patch the Ulzuin Set rework kills The Maelstrom build I have posted but I can still see there’s way to revive it. So even if the way the build currently operates changes the core concept is left intact.

Core concepts only get killed if the community is making use of an exploit like the Auramancer Exploit in AoM early days.

Hang in there.

Looks like a bunch of good, logical updates.

And honestly other than a few upset people, and some people having fun joking about flipping tables, I’m seeing lots of positive feedback / “I’ll try playing it first to judge it” replies.

Thanks for the continuous updates/balancing to the game!

can someone clarify to me what reduce blow-out means? does it mean lowering graphics and brightness quality?

because if thats the case I hope Zantai considers lowering the "blow out " of cinderwind proc from the gloves, its really so laggy and intrusive!

sadly my thread got ignored! :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought it was a hair style?

It’s when a bunch of particle effects overlap and you get a big bright-white orb on your screen like a light bulb just before it blows out.

New Ulzuin is beast. Wait for it:)

Only thing I’m curious about now is why do we have four Trozan’s Sky Shard sets now?

Riftwarped Grasp: removed Chaos dealt as Vitality conversion

I just noticed this.

This is going to hit my PB builds pretty hard

But meh. They’ll still be amazing.

As i suggested… make it baseline and give the Ulzuin Set something else :stuck_out_tongue:
