It seems manticore has been unnerfed. Woot.
Yes I agree. Yours is off the charts! WAA cadence Waaaaaa!
Game is in a good place. Balance is in a good place. Your posts are …not. Chill.
Nice update! Liked the hidden path, lovely lore hidden around. =)
BUT! : Now i am unable to play multiplayer with my friend. The hosts game dies instantly when someone else tries to join. Anyone else has this problem?! And the joiner keeps crashing to from time to time.
I logged on to my Blademaster and my damage has gone done. I am trying to see where it is but do not see it right now. Am I missing something?
Guys, can you upload the entrance image to the new place? I can’t find it…
Weird. My GOG said 346mb for the patch.
Downloaded the patch and got this message. Current version is 1.0.0.3 so no idea what it’s whinging about. Off to GOG to try again.
I should have the DLC code, is it a separate code (humble does not have a separate one, so I assume ‘no’) ?
I did start the game but I have no DLC folder…
How do I use that 3d Max plugin?
I mean ok, I installed it… and what now? I cant import .msh
I am straight up too stupid to find the broken hills stone wall ._.
Hello,
can someone tell me, where part 3 of the hidden path starts?
i dont remember the 2nd scroll name
and now i cant find it in the scroll overview.
Broken hills has a big empty space in the middle of the map.
in the left side of the middle you will find the entrance

Ok, let’s do some math then.
Let R be relative difference in damage with and without resistance reduction (i.e. R is dmg with reduction over dmg without reduction). Let x be the player’s resistance reduction and y be the monster’s resistance. Then:
R = 1 + x/(1-y)
Indeed, resistance reduction is a multiplier. For a monster with 50% resistance, each point of resistance reduction is equivalent to a 2% increase in total damage. Let’s see how effective resistance reduction is for some value or monster resistance less than 100% (to avoid dealing with singularities). We need a partial derivative of R over x:
dR/dx = 1/(1-y)
Effectiveness of resistance reduction is inversely related to monster resistance. We can plot this relationship to get a better sense of what’s going on.
In a world where the average monster resistance is 80, each point of resistance reduction is 5 times more effective than in a world with no monster resistances. If you want to nerf resistance reduction, while keeping it’s usefulness as a tool to push your damage trough vs specific mobs (bleeding vs skellies etc.), all you have to do is reduce average monster resistances. Simple.
In conclusion… The statement “it’s a multiplier, you always want it” completely misses the point. QED.
Finished the quest line, it was fun and took longer than I thought. Only found one of the new MI (with trash mods sadly) and none of the epics. Still, good fun. Not looking forward to running all my character through it in all difficulties but the rewards are too good not to. Oh well.
Do those new epics only drop in the areas of the hidden path or everywhere?
maybe I am blind or something, but it seems like the entirely wrong place to start to me… anything more helpful ?
I have been through all of it and found nothing
Great job Crate!
Nice all-around-the-world quest, reminds me slightly of Admeteus questline in TQ:IT. Found all 5 extra bosses on the first run, The Mad Queen boss is nicely hidden and the area gives a thinker on how the northern fortresses were created. Found only so far Dreegs pants and Empowered Eldricht-Keeper Casque dropped from The Sentinel. Good stuff!~
3 extra skill points and 3 attribute points are not good enought? That’s like 1.5 level more in skill points and 3 levels more in attributes
Removed, or added additional spawn locations to, static Treasure Trove locations that were missed in 1.0.0.2
Shrine of the forgotten god and hallowed hill troves are both simply gone (unless they were moved somewhere else?). There goes my farming run.
Edit:
3 extra skill points and 3 attribute points are not good enought? That’s like 1.5 level more in skill points and 3 levels more in attributes
I meant that while it’s a lot of time to do all of them, the rewards are too good not to spend the time.
Thanks for the math lesson.
Resist reduction values were too high, especially for certain damage types, with players able to reduce them far below 0, and thus they were reduced. As you so keenly pointed out, its relative value decays to a constant as resists go to 0 and below.
It’s satisfying to stack up resist reduction and watch the numbers grow, but it was too easy to stack up large numbers on a few items/skills.
- %Bleed Resistance reduction, for example, was not touched.
I am all over Asterkarn Road in the southeast and cant find what I am looking for. Any pointers?
Argh, how does it work?! I wont complain that 2012 is an ancient one but still what the hell is wrong? Loaded plugin (without errors), but nothing happens. Loading from the GD folder, if I copy it to the stdplugins I am getting Error 127 (module not found).
