Grim Dawn Version 1.0.0.5 Hotfix 2

I forgot to mention this when 1.0.0.5 version was released but i’m going to now. Was MI items drop rate increased? I’ve been getting a lot of Murderer shoulders, Incendiary Casques and others.

It’s probably just luck and i’m definitely not complaining, but i just feel the drop rate was increased.

Yeah the drop rate was increased awhile ago.

Well i tried crucible yesterday with my duo pistol pyromancer i bought defence tower, got like 12k hp and still at wave ~~110 i BARELY noticed what killed me - Iron Maiden, and no, that wasnt retaliation, i didnt even manage to use anything but a 1 potion. And it was Aspirant, what happens at challenger and gladiator i may only imagine.

Could someone please tell me where these new tokens can be found? Also can’t craft dynamite. Either i’m not looking where i’m supposed to or it’s a bug. Not sure.

The vendor.

Sound advice:D

I have tried the vendor. Restarted game difficulty, reinstalled patch. Was hoping I missed a detail. Is it supposed to be in the Misc tab? Because i haven’t seen anything

Are you checking on Challenger or Gladiator? You can’t buy any on Aspirant.

Checked on Galdiator and Challenger as well. I also didn’t have the option to raises the stakes anymore.

“Fixed an issue with common Order of Death’s Vigil enemies not granting infamy.”

So this why the skeleton enemies of the Order that roam around are actually giving infamy now. This makes grinding to Nemesis with Order a little easier.

Fabius damage is definitely more predictable now. He can still spawn with some nasty weapons (spawned with energy burn weapons once) and shoulders (i linked some shoulders he dropped in the Trophy room thread).

Um… what kind of damage do people like taking?

When you say “nobody likes reflect damage”, what you really mean is that you don’t like reflect damage. When you say that it “annoys the playerbase”, what you really mean is that it annoys you.

I would not have bothered to respond if you hadn’t made several statements in which you tried to add weight to your words by claiming that everybody feels the same way you do. By claiming that everybody feels the same way you do, you claim to speak for everybody. The playerbase doesn’t have a unified opinion on anything, so claiming that the playerbase feels a certain way is just plain silly. Reflect damage doesn’t annoy me at all, and others who have responded have made similar statements, so you do not speak for everybody.

In the regular game, reflect damage is fine where it is. My DPS is high enough that I can kill myself pretty quickly, but I don’t think reflect needs to be nerfed, and I for one enjoy the fact that reflect is in the variety of things that can kill me. It keeps me on my toes and forces me to pay attention. True, I don’t play HC, but that’s your choice. If you choose HC, then you should accept the consequences instead of trying to get the devs to tone things down to your taste. Offering HC as an option should not force the devs to change the game for everybody else.

Judging from the forums, there are apparently a number of people who make entire builds based on a focus on reflect damage. I am not one–I’ve never tried this. But would you take that option away from these players? Don’t suggest cutting the reflect damage of monsters but not players in the regular game. That’s a bad idea, and I would find that annoying on general principle, because what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

Two small patches yesterday and today, what did they contain?

Yeah. I’m curious too.

Did something has been done about “Game freeze on exit” issue? because it didnt happen to me since few days.

this is pretty much irrelevant pedantry. it’s like saying “well some people liked battlefield earth with john travolta” well ok, the movie is still 2.4/10.

from years and years of playing arpgs, not once have i ever seen someone say “wow I really like that you can 1-shot reflect yourself! what a cool mechanic”. it was pretty much only complaints until it was nerfed, making the game more enjoyable.

no, it’s not. why would they nerf it by 70% in the crucible and not at least a little bit in the main game? it’s such a massive nerf, it should tell you something.

My DPS is high enough that I can kill myself pretty quickly

that’s great but we are talking about 1-shots, and we provided valid reasons why physical builds are a lot more affected by this than the rest.

True, I don’t play HC, but that’s your choice.

ok so you don’t play hardcore but you comment on this issue that a lot of people have as if you did. you don’t understand where we’re coming from, it never happened to you.

If you choose HC, then you should accept the consequences instead of trying to get the devs to tone things down to your taste.

no, i should voice my concern when I see a flaw. I wouldn’t mind if they made ultimate generally harder, like it was before. as it is right now, a little archmage hidden in a sea of mobs can be more dangerous than logorrhean himself. makes no sense.

retaliation builds. not the same thing.

you don’t even understand what we’re discussing here.

I have ‘update queued’ in Steam but it just gives me a time out message when I try and start the game…

I have the same problem as user Superfluff on page 5:

I’m on the GOG version and on all difficulties the blacksmith in the Crucible cannot craft Dynamite, the vendor has no new tokens and I can no longer raise the stakes.

The strange thing with GOG’s latest update is that there is only a patch for the main game with Hotfix 2 but not for the Crucible DLC, which is still on version Hotfix 1.

Check back on Monday for the GOG hotfix.

It seems that only the base game was patched, but not the Crucible. Due to the nature of their update process, the earliest they will get to it is on Monday.

Pretty much this^^.

I found Fabius with a Notched Bone and he didn’t kill me. Feels like his weapons only deal about a quarter of the damage they did before. I still have a character that he crit for about 36k and that was with a max level Maivens Sphere active. Now that crit is maybe 15k. Ah well, no more moments of sheer terror.
