Grim Dawn Version 1.0.3.0

They reduced the granted skill on the proc not the item itself. I misread it myself at first :stuck_out_tongue:

Btw, Bane’s CD and I&F ring CD are still too high. For the damage they do, 0.5-1s CD is enough. Even 1s+ CD would be excessive.

Haven’t seen this in patch notes, but performance is improved. Back to pre-hotfix AoM levels, maybe even higher. Getting 75-85 fps on top of fort Ikon (depends on spawns down below) was ~59-65. And this is with Shadows and Shaders switched to new Ultra. Great job, Rhis!

Lightning pets with bug relic infamy seems to be a recurring theme… and a recurring nerf. lol

I approve this sh*t.
Thank you!

Dear lord, that’s a long first post.

Lots of awesome changes from what I can see.

Was just about to mention this myself, it’s so smooth now.

Edit: The new Darkblaze set is frickin’ unrecognisable. Maybe it’ll actually be good now. :stuck_out_tongue:

somebody at crate loves dk

Ultra shadows - thank you !
But please please please please please please make it optional for the char’s light radius to create new shadows around him. Please !

Very interesting changes. Just a couple of questions

“Legendary - Mythical Aetherreach: added 10% on Attack of Aether Cascade proc, removed Aether damage modifiers to Aether Ray and Reap Spirit”

I’m afraid that this will relevantly hurt the single target dps. Wasn’t there no way to keep that dmg bonus, even nerferd?

On another subject: i haven’t read anything about fixing drop rates of unique items from bosses like Dungeon bosses, Sentinel, Anesteria… have something been done in that regard?

Oh no I just saw this. I was so happy to not have that poison cloud anymore. Could you please make it look more different from enemy poison clouds? It is so very confusing when fighting any enemies that have poison.

Alright while the armor values for light armor and the materials needed for the new components really needed some change the only other good thing I can see in this patch is that you messed up to fix the offensive devotion bound to auras bug…

seriously I dont get why you see a need to nerf builds just because they are working fine. There is no such thing as competition between players here, is there really a need to break everything that does well instead of reworking some of the useless items so that a bigger number of different other builds becomes viable.
It just feels really frustrating to spend a few hundreds of hours farming just for a patch to make your character useless.

mhm I dont know what I was expecting from the patch but im kinda disappointed.

Great! Time to finally roll an elemental FW-based Tactician without crashes!

[/li]
Yes! Fucking finally, a very justified nerfs to some of the strongest enemies in the game. Now, it’s time to test Kupa out, I’ve been waiting to execute my revenge against that asshole.

[/li]
Sounds like a buff, but as was said earlier, it’s really weak? 3k per tick is pretty low for Ultimate. I’m going to test it too.

[/li]
Good move. These were clearly underused, buffs should make them more important and relevant.

[/li]
Really digging that Attack Speed in these guns. It’s a pity we can’t have nearly 100% phys to pierce conversion with them, but their bonuses are too good to pass by. Time to finally make a DW Ranged Tactician.

[/li]
Hahaha, as expected. The ring was insane with all that proccing, you can literally create a neverending volley of shit flying all over the screen.

[/li]
Support for the Death Knight, very nice.

[/li]
This is good. 100% Energy cost reduction to Seal was practically useless. And now this has even more increased damage and even RR.

[/li]
The only change I heavily disagree with. Some explanation as follows.

  1. The dissolving. I get that it was made to prevent hitting enemies through walls. But as of now, it’s BARELY functional. The proc dissappears on literally EVERYTHING - walls, rocks, textures of the higher or lower ground. This already made it losing like 50% of it’s DPS. With added CD it’s gonna activate only once in a blue moon, rendering it completely useless.

  2. The CD should be lowered. And if you can, fix the dissolving so it doesn’t make it dissappear on the freaking ground at least.

[/li]
More absorption is nice. This creates an alternative for shoulder components, since almost everyone used Scale Hide on them for absorption. Also, really digging increased movement speed, some builds would benefit from it much.

[/li]
More pierce support? Hell yes! Really tempted to use Oleron on pierce builds now, by the way.

[/li]
How about actually increasing movement speed limit with all this shit implemented left and right?

[/li]
Very nice, more damage to my Soldier builds.

Overall, great patch.

That would kind of defeat the purpose.

I don’t know… people were asking for it since forever and now, with all these changes happening, they might as well do. I mean, it’s not like they should increase it by a huge margin, but overall boost would be nice.

Yep missing from the patch notes, been mentioned in testing this was missing from the notes

Legendary - Evoker of Elgoloth: added 14% Attack Speed, reduced % Offensive Ability to 3%
Forgot to mention this earlier. We officially have a rifle that works for default attacks guys.
Can’t wait to get my ranged 2h runner to endgame status.

Between this, my original DW char that needs Ugdenbog daggers, a Warden retaliator I’m working on and some Arcanist casters I have planned… and I also want to give the Belgothian’s and that buffed Krieg set a try eventually, that’s a lot of stuff to do.

Exactly what nerf are you referring to that broke a build?

Finally! this should have been done ages ago tbh

The new Frontier Mask design is … different.

Adjusted the damage and healing of the Beast Nemesis, particularly in its split form. Reduced its max health. It can no longer spawn in side dungeons.
Adjusted the damage and Oppression Aura of the Ashes of Malmouth Chthonian Nemesis (Grava’Thul), slightly reduced the speed and duration of its homing Annihilation Orb and reduced the frequency of its charge ability.

Looking forward to test this. I had a great deal and put serious efforts in adapting many of my less tankier builds (casters mstly) in order to make them finally able to defeat these two fuckers without dying, very curious to found out how the fights will be now

Cool

CoDW got buffed nicely. It means Aether Jack Sorc would be even better than before:D
