Grim Dawn Version v1.2.0.0 + v1.2.0.1 + v1.2.0.2 + v1.2.0.3 Hotfixes

The first phase has an unavoidable homing projectile similar to those of aether crystals and now he also places traps all over the room. At level 10, health is really low, equipment is scarce and damage is terrible and this is Veteran mode. He can two shot pretty much any character. The second phase is extremely predictable and very well telegraphed attacks. It is possible to get through it without getting hit once. It is still really slow and you need to pay attention and not let the tedium overwhelm your mind. Maybe it is easier depending on choice of skill. I’ll never know as I don’t need to do it again. I just went with a simple maxed Devouring Swarm.

this is not new, was always there, just was totally ignore by people  - probably why it got sunder attached, tho i feel it’s wasted since so/too easy to avoid (imo)

second phase imo was always harder; unless you cheesed him on a ranged caster build
the phase 1 aether beam is/was usually never an issue due to the rarity of its application, so the zap being undodgeable wasn’t really a big deal (doesn’t get triggered at close range i think - just like traps)

Second phase is only hard if people just try to sit there and tank his stomp and other attacks. Even on a melee build, you can step in, hit him a few times, get out of his range, hit him again, dodge next attack and so on. That’s why it is such a good first act boss imo. He gives people plenty of time to just evade anything he does. And for this achievement, as I said, health is low and equipment is really luck based. After the flooded pass, most stuff that drops already goes beyond the level 10 threshold. I was almost naked when I got there. The dash made a big difference when fleeing from enemies and trying to reach the Laboratory Riftgate. So, the damage from the first phase isn’t negligible. Again, maybe my choice of skill was what was wrong. Devouring Swarm just falls off extremely fast. I chose it mostly because of range, life steal and easy low level access. Probably should have used Stormbox, instead.

that’s my point, as melee you’re forced into attack range, as ranged caster you’re not: and can still avoid both traps and aether beam in phase 1 making it even easier than phase 2
think the hardest thing i tried was skeletons, because if you position them poorly or get non ranged spawns he just 1shots them  but even then is still doable

I did not even consider Skeletons, despite playing Pets a lot. I just don’t like their frailty. But they would certainly have been a better choice for damage. Devouring Swarm just sucks for damage without proper equipment.

oh i recommend trying that, not because they are good/better, but because the “struggle” is different since you need to consider pet position, your own position and spawn RNG, made it a really fun try compared to just running in circles as caster, think it took me like 10mins last, - since i kept messing up my archers position

Looks like 1.2.0.2 is now available on GOG! Finally get to play with my peeps on Steam

Is there a GERMAN translation for the 1.2.x.x version ??

should be included with the game, select it in the options page
*translations are no longer manually applied

I think the sunder requires an adjustment, 72% constant damage depletes your defenses in a few seconds.

Before, the way to arm yourself was the enemy’s abilities VS your defenses, that is, 1 against 1, now it is 2 against 1 and how do we avoid that? Dodging? It is not enough, there is a clear disadvantage especially in SR.

Zantarin, for example, already has an instakill ability and allowing him to use Sunder It annihilates you irremediably.

Thanks to this I lost my BM in Hardcore

What is the reason why you decided to remove physical resistance from a set that does not have defensive sources? Does anyone want to explain to me the reason for this change? I see it totally unnecessary.

All sackings aside, congrats on an amazing series of improvements and polish between God-knows-when and this latest update.

However, you need to change “Show Time” to “Show Clock” in the options

The removal of the clock UI from the game was a serious fail IMO.
For some reason, I repeatedly passed over “Show Time” before realizing that meant to “Show the Clock”.

While sad about the UI change in that regard, I am glad to see that the option of the clock does still exist, but it was well hidden behind this abstract word “Time”, which should read “Clock” IMO.

In addition, health and energy potion recharge timers are hard to see IMO. I understand the concept of “you get what you pay for”, but even if free, it would be good to be clear about when you can suck off the Crate-socialist-teat and when the abstract potion distribution mechanism is still on cooldown.

When will it be released for Xbox? And I use the Portuguese language and not having the names of the items is very frustrating.

In the meantime, thank you for supporting this wonderful game

Einfach in den Optionen auswählen!

Wird halt jetzt nur direkt von Crate gemacht …

Wish that there would be an option for ragdoll only on death. Imagine Blitz into a pile of enemies and seeing them fly in every direction. Oh, heaven have mercy.

Well that explains why I have been farming her with the one character who is hostile to her for ages, in vain…

Pity, I liked that Bone Prison, came in useful against some enemies.

Ah so that was why Mogrdogen was so hard to whittle down with pets. Hmmm… Guess I might pay him another visit.

But why? That was kind of the point of that constellation, more bleed damage to pets even those that normally don’t have it, for a Shaman build…Otherwise you might as well go for the Dying God.

you are wrong. a lot of pet builds but NOT bleeding pet use Mogdrogen the Wolf devotion for their stats and insane proc (+45% total speed and huge OA). acid pet/ lightning pet/ fire pet/ elemental pet/ cold pet, vitality pet… cuz not only the Mog devo is good, but the way to get Mog (green and purple devo) are way too convenient for pet builds. For dying god not so much. Red and blue deve route is not pet- friendly at all
