Grim Dawn Version v1.2.1.3 + Hotfixes

Well I was used to the clock on the center.

Just another one person who don’t have a clue wtf is 1.2.1.4, don’t pay attention

Was expecting you in my thread why Ulzuin Purifier cannot burn :slight_smile: but will reply here as well :slight_smile:

  1. if there is a desire to play Lightning Ulzuin, i strongly believe the way to do it is to combine four pieces of Ulzuin with Barrelsmith’s Destroyers:
  • Guns have global fire to lightning,
  • there are transmuters for physical to lightning on both Grenado and Canister Bomb
  • Piercing is converted to Lightning on Canister Bomb
  • Flat RR on Canister Bomb - so you can skip BWC and flat RR devotions.
  • effective all fire, physical and pierce is converted to one damage type to maximize the damage
    If you want to go fire route with pistols, well, there are Cindercores:

but:

  • pierce damage remains uncoverted on Canister Bomb
  • you still have to take either BWC or flat RR devotion, reducing the options to take more damage or more defense.
  • physical to fire is around 60% (10% from amulet, 2 x 15% from weapon and another 2 x10% from weapon components), so part of physical damage from Meteor and Meteor Shower are wasted
    And with Full Ulzuin:
  • not enough points to cap both Grenado and Canister Bomb if you take BWC for RR
  • set focuses on Physical to Fire and Piercing to Fire on Canister Bomb - but you have extra points to go either for BWC or Grenado and they are still wasted as no physical to fire
  • almost all physical damage (90%) on Meteor and Meteor Shower remains wasted

You may argue that you can still take transmuters on both Grenado and Canister for physical to Lightning, though being 2H you need Kraken and this implies limitatons on damage absorbing (Crab, Turtle), healing (Chariot, Behemoth), -% RR (Widow, Solael’s Wittchblade) and Tier 3 damaging devotions (Ultos and Ulzuin - maybe they are brothers? UL in both names, hmm).

i saw Madlee did Dagallon Purifier Purifier, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.2) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
but this build relies on Seal and lifeleech to survive, hence no healing devotions, no damage absorb devotions (and no need for Kraken as well).

So my question: is everybody happy with the state of full Ulzuin? 14% weapon damage to Canister Bomb - what was it designed for? To face tank with it? To leech with it? Gimmick dual damage?

I would propose to keep Lightning damage part for the Barrelsmith’s Destroyers combo, remove weapon damage to Canister Bomb, 18% crit damage and add 100% physical to fire to Grenado as 5-piece bonus.

Thoughts? Ideas?

V1.2.1.4 Hotfix 1

[Crucible]

  • Fixed an issue where all bosses would not spawn in the Shattered Realm.
  • Fixed an issue where the Extra Spawns option was not unlocked if a character started (and beat) the Crucible on Wave 150. This fix is not retroactive.

[Modding]

  • The OneShot_EndlessDungeon template is no longer usable outside of the Shattered Realm. A new template, OneShot_Skill, has been added that has the same functionality but works outside of the official game mode.

[Art]

  • Fixed an issue where armored Dranghouls would not hold their weapons

[Game]

  • The Clock display is now smaller and appears in the top left corner of the screen when toggled on.
  • Loot Icons (ex. Epic Items) no longer appear on the map/minimap if they are toggled off in the Loot Filter.

[Itemization]

  • Fixed some item changes intended for v1.2.1.3 that were not included in the update.

probably, maybe? or just some sort of flat addition (canister mods act on initial explosion and all frags, so even a little could add “alot”)

*nor was it my intention to debate it, i just raised the basic point/“past reminder”
5p lightning bonuses becomes meaningless if you add conversion, that’s it.
It used to have conversion, then it didn’t, because people requested it at the time, and or the conversion was considered redundant.

even if you did so during PTR; i’d just suggest you make a new feedback thread if the issue didn’t raise enough awareness in playtest? (alternatively could be considered proposal “rejected” if it didn’t make it into live :sweat_smile:)

perhaps slightly confused, but can’t you get fire nado with 5p ulzuin already? - i kinda feel like that was part of why conversion was requested removed from rifle, so it could be used in “all” the ways

I am very happy with it, why would i want another grenado option? there are enough of those, if canister isn’t good enough it can just be buffed

Thanks for this @Zantai. I was just downloading 1.2.1.3 on GOG but will wait for the new update to get published. I also found two other bugs (not related), one of them has been in there for years (IMO). I’ll open separate posts for them.

A small update has been pushed to address some issues with the new clock position. No version increment was made for this micro hotfix.

Unfortunately this is not working, the item droped with this OneShot template is not consumed on pickup, does not grant the assigned skill and is landing straight into the player’s inventory :frowning:

There doesn’t seem to be any 1.2.1.4 on GOG. Latest version it reports for me is 1.2.1.3
Will it appear shortly or did some button press not work? :smiley:

I got some 1.2.1.4 hotfix 1 on GOG now, but not sure if the clock position fix is in or not, since mine is still covered by the pets. I don’t know if it’s because it’s not the right version or if UI scaling screws it up. See here for images.

Crucible extra spawns option still bug.

I see why. The current fix will work for characters that have not tried yet.

Anyone that already ran into the bug in v1.2.1.3 will have to wait for a future update or clear from wave 50-100+ to work around it.

Well, what if I liked the old clock? Is there a way to at least change it’s position to the middle of the screen?

Ahhh nice, time to restart with a new build!

I was able to now get the 1.2.1.4 HF1 update from GOG. Thank you. I also agree with @Beroes on having the position of the clock adjustable.

I really appreciate both of those fixes, thanks to the dev team.
