Yeah, this was years ago when I was looking to build around the skill, and at that time, I suspect that the expert advice that I got against it was quite valid.
Itās good to know that nowadays I could try and build around Pox with at least some success.
Youāre right though āsingle button tap Pox for big damageā would be nifty
After trying out the contagion changes for a bit, I hope you can let them linger on corpses again. While the on-death spread is great, the pandemic is often cut short because an enemy was just slightly out of range at the moment of death.
Itās particularly noticeable on builds using Fevered rage.
If Gore and lingering contagion on corpses canāt co-exist, would you consider increasing the range of the spread or let them linger like an aerosol/puddle? ;D
More enemies walking into an area of death and disease and being infected was part of the fun.
I know the people demands GORE, but as a long time Pox/contagion enjoyer Iād rather have the lingering effect. Although, I sincerely hope you can find a work-around that includes both.
Yooo! The Dagallons set changes are so cool, adding extra 2 weapons was a smart move, now you have the freedom to choose either the Lightning or Fire aspect of the set, before the patch when tinkering on the Dagallons set I settled on elemental exactly because I count make it work properly with one damage type.

Which conversion item? Iāve always made it mixed fire/lightning since I couldnāt find anything that could convert it nicely.
So thereās something that can convert both the chaos from mines and cold from wind devil to fire or lightning?
no(not besides global), i assumed you meant EoR since thatās the only thing we care about on that set? (since mines/devil dmg doesnāt stack/is flavour)
in which case the lightning EoR gloves has 100% conversion now
mines/devil conversion item might possibly becoming in FoA tho (canāt say for sure), since some conversion changes was made with new upcoming FoA items in mind
Iāve always made Elementalist (with a lot of particle effects), since one-handed EoR didnāt seem like it could be very good. Itās not very strong, but itās fun seeing all the effects. So I care.
So the Mines and Wind Devils not being just Fire/Lightning anymore is a bit unfortunate.
Cyclone mines had fx changes before? legit didnāt realize that
well, if nothing else fire devils or lightning mines can then be something to request for FoA to āensureā it exists.
Thereās still some lightning mines gloves/adding lightning dmg to mines, could potentially request the fx swap there so not having to wait for FoA, tho it will do nothing for the dmg if you were taking Hellfire mine for its mild dmg boost ofc
Zantai already said there would be atleast 1 ptr/update between now and FoA, so pre FoA requests are still possible too btw
edit.
i just loaded an older game version, and there was seemingly no FX change on either devils or mines with cyclone?
which means youāll still get the regular impact fx āsplashā with the/any regular conversion item or direct dmg addition item (ex bwc lightning gloves, dawnshard chest etc)
No, I mean a lot of different effects covering the screen: Thermite Mines, Wind Devils with their lightning strikes, Cinderwinds, Stormfire, and whatever else. Wonderfully chaotic.
oh yea for sure, but thatās what iām saying you can still do that, the visuals will be the same as before, itās only a mild dmg loss if you were pure XY fire/lightning build without the conversion, but fx wise itās the same since cyclone didnāt carry any innate changes to the pets FX/pet v splash FX is different and wasnāt changed
