Is there an ETA for Hotifx 1 on GoG?

Push… how come that there is no update for GOG Galaxy?

I knew Ravna was weird. I got to her with a character with 65% Poison resist and she nearly 1 shot me in her first form at about level 45 :stuck_out_tongue:

Zarthuzellan was always quite bursty. He’s basically the “avoid the shotguns” tutorial boss. Is he just brought back to his pre-1.3 version, or straight up nerfed?

Adding my feedback that some mobs and bosses have entirely too much health early and mid game, and do weird massive spikes of damage despite high resists and high health total for the level faced.

I also notice that they have a really, really, REALLY high resistance to being crit - kinda rough when your abilities rely on getting a crit off to proc as a werewolf.

I’m currently Mystic (Berserker/Occultist) Chaos Werewolf. Juice up Bonechilling Cry and Recklessness to turbo-shred your enemies’ defensive ability to get more reliable crits. Don’t forget to dump a healthy amount of points into base class masteries where possible for the cunning so you can get higher OA in tandem with Recklessness and Bonechilling Cry’ shred.

After going thru a ruff patch this fixed a lot of my issue. That and swapping from epics to greens with better OA/DA to avoid getting one shot and ensure my sustain thru crits w/ Battle Surge.

When the hot-fix comes on GoG?

I like it, personally. We are finally forced to engage with the boss mechanics instead of nuking them before they get a skill rotation in.

she didn’t just deal poison dmg :scorv:

Oh, I see. What visually looks like a pure poison projectile actually does a f**kton of physical too.

EDIT:
Just fought Kalis’Ka. Holy hell, the dog’s got a supremely nasty shotgun now. My health dropped to double digits. Could have been my first FoA HC death :open_mouth:

A lot of bosses have zero mechanics and are just boring. And very few do actually any significant damage. It is more then it used to be but still little. They need less health and more damage and sunder and more interesting attacks then just hitting with melee.

yep, that’s something you can’t trust in GD
way back/“years” ago,(before recent buffs), i couldn’t understand why a char was suddenly getting nuked by Ronaprax, and you died from having mid pierce res and 0 chaos res or something silly despite maxed poison res

Not sure what you are talking about here. Nothing has changed in terms of fighting bosses for the majority of the players.

No mechanics have changed outside of getting new bosses. If you don’t have a huge knowledge base and play experience you are already fighting Grava the way you were intended too after learning the fight. Prior to 1.3 very few people (I am willing to bet) were tanking entire SR 31 boss rooms. It only looks that way on this forum. I don’t because of HC and playing builds that weren’t built for speed and were using setups that were already deemed inferior by the player base here.

Too many posts on this forum with veiled LP2 vibes by people forgetting that everyone is not them and not everyone is having the same play experience.

The only real change that has occurred, even at the highest difficulties is that the margin of error has become more narrow, and further so for melee.

There are other methods (that already exist in game) that wouldn’t require simply inflating numbers. For example instead of getting 300% dmg and 550% health buffs to monsters via shrines, you could have done things like:

When spawning nemesis, all nemesis of that faction spawn at the same time.

Instead of the dread just spawning, a portal spawns where you fight it with x mutators or in a smaller room calling for proper position and laying down of ground effects.

That is a more solid, game defining use of the word “challenge”, IMO.

Players may give horrible solutions to problems, but they are really good at identifying the problem to begin with. Discrediting players who have thousands of hours of playtime when they come here and make a complaint - then to blow them off or tell them your handful of experiences/or spreadsheets trumps what they see is without giving them the benefit of the doubt is none too smart.

the issue is/was before, doesn’t matter if you 1v1 or 4v1 in sr, the interaction through campaign and end was the same
plant your feet, stand still, hold down button, boss dies 10secs; before it can use half its rotation.
This is and was not a “leet git gud elitist” issue, this has been an issue through vet-ult campaign and even 1v1 SR 31 (i know because i don’t facetank 4 bosses). Bosses didn’t have enough health to be a threat, they didn’t have enough health to unlock some of their moves, and they simply didn’t have enough dmg to make you “engage” with the fight other than stand still and hold down button, and that’s why i’ve repeatedly made the crowder meme “GD is a facetank simulator”.

And you saw it immediately when boss dmg got dialed up; people refuse to adapt and engage with the boss or attacks, not adjusting their approach standing still, and complaining about unfair dmg and dying, when all it took to prevent death was to click and walk move 1 inch on the screen… - about as base fight interaction as it possibly gets…
There’s nothing elitist “l2p” vibes about that, when players see even the slightest fight interaction as unreasonable or hardcore git gud bad design…

edit. feels like this meme became super relevant for GD suddenly with FoA revival :scorv:

Forgot to mention that yes, I’m talking strictly about the levelling experience in Veteran. Just finished the base campaign and several of the bosses actually surprised me with their new moves and buffed damage/health and forced adaptations.

It is no longer “Bolvar only” that is dangerous while levelling.

lmao, i just cracked open a barrel in FoA… and something popped out i did not expect
Well played Crate

idono, not sure Bolvar is dangerous anymore

Ravna stage 1 was still unexpectedly difficult on Normal for me on 1.3.0.1.

Still had to kite him like mad on my Wereraven. And I specifically boosted my Chaos res to 60+ just for him. Some characters can tank him, but casters are usually not it :stuck_out_tongue:

Just ran into another nasty surprise in Port Valbury outskirts. As if going for that shrine on Veteran wasn’t already dangerous enough, there is apparently a new FoA side quest boss there. Another shotgunner, needless to say :upside_down_face:

mebe it’s a werewolf thing :scorv:

also holy heck, what is this thing Zantai

image dang, this explains a lot

Hmm, i thought the dread is exclusive for ascended difficulty. It seems too much to have it on lesser dificulties.
