Grim Dawn Version v1.3.0.4 + v1.3.0.5

And now you also have an awesome potion to increase iron bits you find :stuck_out_tongue:

You can also maximize the potion’s efficiency at doing that quite easily.

Yep I’m aware. I just don’t think ā€œhaving toā€ sacrifice your flask slot to keep up with all the iron costs is really good design.

yup but it is still waaaay more iron bits frol selling greenies

pot should make greens drop as iron bits instead

I see. Thank you. Hopefully they fix it soon.

Take a character that doesn’t need to regenerate a lot of energy and as DeputyChuck suggested, select the Vial for your energy potion as well as Revurrum and Phillom. This will grant you up to +200% iron bits for the duration.
(side note, my values differ from @DeputyChuck’s, maybe his screenshot is outdated?)

Then do a SR30-31 run, and pop the potion right before opening all the chests. That way you can make about 1.5 million iron bits per run. Even a slow player like me can make over 10 million in less than an hour. Making tons of iron quick is pretty much the only reason for me to run SR these days.

How much iron can you make just by selling the items that you farmed in, let’s say 3 minutes? If you do one Fort Ikon Armory run on Ascendant with beefed up Phillom potion and no Altar mods, you can make around 100k just from raw iron drops (used to be more but it looks like the amount of chests has been nerfed). Not sure if you can make that much by selling items, considering you have to pick them up first and then spend time at the vendor selling them all.

I love that idea!

It was taken today, but from Grimtool, not the game

Oh okay I guess GT is outdated then.

The beauty of this offline game is that there is already a community mod with autoloot!

Also, am i stupid, or doesn’t the one exclude the other one. When i use the pot i still can pick up items and sell them.

Try playing with these settings, the game looks ok. The textures and lighting are a bit better, but honestly, I kind of miss that better AA

No you’re right, of course you can do both, but I don’t bother selling non-MI rares anymore. At some point Crate rebalanced the loot economy, trash loot drops were reduced and iron drops were increased. My loot filter is usually set to show only Legendaries and MIs so I don’t even pick up Epics anymore, and thanks to Rainbow Filter I only pick up MIs with at least one rare affix. Since I don’t use any auto-loot mods, imo my time is better spent running around opening chests and destroying crates than stopping at every lootsplosion and picking up items to sell.

Maybe you could at least bring back the old nemesis spawn from the FoA release, so it’s not so easy? Like you did with the NPC item for ā€œdisablingā€ Dread? Usually, the altar offers offerings for a full Soul farm. But I want the good old ā€œMEATā€ version 1.3.0.0 for, ahem… gamers prepared for the Ascendant. That would be SO COOL!

Nothing to do with me, I’m not a Crate employee or even a dev.

Important update! I just spent 20 minutes running around with a full altar set, targeting the Nemesis spawn rate in FoA, defeating hero beasts, clearing three beast totems, and at 23 minutes, the Underking (maybe Google Translate didn’t translate it quite correctly) showed up. And this was all on ascendant mode! Even before the DLC release, I was spawning Nemesis more often!

What is ā€œburst potentialā€ for bosses?
Good to hear the Dread can now be turned off. After running into it 3 times in a challenge dungeon (and unable to kill it as it keeps healing back from my pets) I had to stop playing on ascendant mode with my Conjurer.
Ouch on that reduction to the Harbinger set, I enjoyed the insane damage of the Doom bolts - they are hard to aim anyway. Btw, what does the whole ā€œ+2 Onslaught stacksā€ modifier does, for classes that do not have Onslaught? The stacks still get added when you attack?

By ā€œold versionā€ you mean when Nemeses did not come to you, you had to hunt them down in specific areas? Sure, some like Fabius or Kubacabra were easy to find, but the Chthonian and Aetherial Nemeses were always a long slog trying to see where they spawned. I much prefer the new system.

Ah, so THAT is what ā€œbase properties are disabledā€ means? So in this case, the potion would not restore energy? From the description it was not clear.

You should add epics back now that awakened items are a thing

Yes, you can get stacks from other skills. They work just the same. They do not stack together with other sources though. For example, if you have a skill that can give you 3 onslaught stacks, that skill will give you stacks… up to 3. If you also use onslaught (the skill) at the same time, they will add together up to 3, then only onslaught will be able to stack them, up to its maximum.

The maximum is not affected by stack capacity from other skills. (for example, if Onslaught can go up to 9 stacks, and you have a skill mod that grants you 3, your max is still 9)

Yes, the potion loses all its original properties and is basically turned into a triple money buff for 5 minutes.

I already suggested a loot filter option that only shows wakeable epics, I hope Crate has put the idea on their to-do-if-we-ever-overhaul-the-loot-filter list.
Until then I’ll pull the Epic from my stash if I need to awaken one. I still got at least a couple of each Epic stashed, more if they are level 94.
