Yes, it should state what it does and doesn’t affect.
Multiplayer still not working with GoG, also hotfix 1.3.0.5 not live on GoG!
Thanks update is now out on Xbox and fixed the ‘not to be able to delete the character’ bug =)
Fair point, i’m open to more transparency stuff. Not sure if it’s a good ‘choice’ to lock it in Asc tho, because then the very same people will complain the forum, why they need to do the extra step of going out of asc and into ult to play SR. But as you said, in the discription and maybe some sort of popup/dialogue when entering the SR would be helpfull.
RIP
. It’s funny how it goes sometimes, I usually find it’s the thing I least expect that ends up bumping off my characters.
Is it just me or do loading screens have a nice soft black border like a vignette – but not the FoA one? 1.3.0.5.
Hello!
I’m not trying to start a riot or stir up drama—I just want some clear and honest information.
A friend and I bought Fangs of Asterkarn on release because we wanted to do a co-op playthrough together. The problem is that I own the game on GOG (which I’m starting to regret quite a bit), while he owns it on Steam.
With the initial 1.3.0 release, neither of us could join any multiplayer game. Shortly afterward, Steam received the 1.3.3 update, and my friend told me he was finally able to join multiplayer sessions. Meanwhile, nothing had been released on GOG.
While browsing the forums, I found a reply from one of the developers explaining that pushing hotfixes to GOG is a real headache, and that GOG would catch up with the Steam version when 1.3.4 was released in the coming days.
Fair enough. We waited.
A few days ago, 1.3.4 finally arrived on GOG. We were excited to jump back in… only for me to be greeted with a “Wrong game version” message because Steam had already been updated to 1.3.5 .
Our vacation ends at the end of this week, so I’d just like to know whether we can realistically hope to play together before then, or if we should give up for now, find another game to play, and come back once this update nightmare is finally over.
I’d really appreciate an honest answer.
Thank you!
I would really like an answer to this question too.
V1.3.0.5 is up on GOG.
It was not the plan for the two platforms to have a discrepancy again, but a critical game blocking crash was not exactly on our weekend to-do list.
Thanks for the quick reply! ![]()
The problem now is that I’ve just updated the game… and I’m still unable to join any multiplayer session with the GOG version.
Nope, I’ve also not got 1.3.0.5 on GOG at the moment.
Those installers are generated by GOG. And I honestly don’t recommend using them. They break the game 50% of the time unless you use the full installers.
The patch is up through GOG Galaxy.
The hitboxes for the werewolf still seem excessive. Pic attached - that is the range and direction where the werewolf can hit both training dummies, even the one on the left, with feral claws.
Actually, it’s even worse, the werewolf can hit behind him. I was attacking while standing still and aiming where you see the mouse pointer, and I managed to hit both training dummies with every attack.
I think the reason that happens is that gog doesn’t provide upgrade installers for the expansions, only for the main game there exists 1.3 to 1.3.0.4.
So to correctly use those installers you have to
- Uninstall all the expansions cleanly with their uninstallers
- Apply the patch to the main game
- redownload and reinstall all expansions (that have the new version number)
That looks about right to me

Think of Feral Claws as spam Blade Arc.
Funny, no GoG Galaxy on Linux but can update games nicely through Heroic on Linux anyway.
Can confirm 1.3.0.5 is available on GoG and updated successfully.
Interesting, now I’m confused about the patch notes stating “Werewolf and Wereraven hitboxes have been shrunk down to match the human player form.” as I didn’t see any difference from before.
I assumed they meant the player hitboxes none of the attacks have been changed from what I can tell.
