Any sales on Steam or GOG will be up to them to decide, Crate has nothing to do with that.
Huh ? Crate obviously has to decide / agree to that, it is their game / expansion after all.
I believe on Steam sales they definitely agree to the discount percentage but could not influence on which date the special more discounted offer would show up, but that is no longer relevant as Steam does not have those special offers any more and a game now has the same discount all days of a sale.

Actually a developer has completely full freedom to discount their game however much or whenever they want, the only limit is it can’t be too often.

If anything I think it’s better to release it post-expansion after final bug tests. Though I am not very knowledgeable on the subject and expansion might not affect mods in any way possible so in such an event we might get to kick Diablo’s ass this weekend :rolleyes:
