Grim Misadventure #128: Ashen October

No, I think I only got my viewers because I played those builds. For some reason I got more viewers roflstomping gladiator crucible, than leveling new chars for expample.

ah ok, i’m not the best person to talk about that cause i don’t watch streams so often (pretty much only gd stuff to see new stuff) so i have no idea what makes a streamer popular and what don’t.

I guess i’m too old for that :frowning:

Ah ok. But I don’t really aim to get famous. Like I said, all the guys that stream and watch GD streams, pretty much know each other. I just would have liked to gain and share knowledge and show off the content from zero. But what is the point when the bigger streamers already offer that because they got a head start…

cant say grim dawn is big on the stream market as a game.
streaming usually attracts people with like minded views and knowledge of the content from the game is seldom what makes a streamer good or popular.
If you know the basic game then you wont need anything else due to xpac just be a variation of that basic and that you had several days to read up on.
If you didnt then well…
I watched a guy spend 10 hours straight on the new xpac, so its a lot of work if you want to be good and knowing the content.

anyhow, I be streaming but I do it for fun and not aiming to be a pro streamer.

I read up on everything about the xpac that I could get my hands on, every item and skill modifier that there is. I guess no one streaming Grim Dawn seriously aims to be a pro streamer. That is not my point.
My point is that I lack motivation to stream mainly because playtesters are so ahead in terms of items, that I can’t catch up for months.

I like the fact GD streaming is niche. I find them pretty relaxing to watch and it’s not your usual Twitch crowd. Which I mean in a good way.

aren’t you supposed to watch tutorials about bridge costructions and mainteneance?

I think he’s the guy who makes them

Less than 8h to go, yeah! I’m counting the minutes and send my best wishes to all the other GD fans out there and to all the employees of Crate, who have put so much work and soul into this game. May they have a smooth release and sell a ton of copies :).

he is but one never stops to learn new tricks in his craft

use thirdparty tools, max out the avatar in minutes.
now your even.
make as many avatars and class combos you want, and run them maxed out in minutes.

always options, stop whining.

go go go go I can’t wait

Even I am allowed to take a break from mining scrap. The bridge to Burrwitch ain’t gonna repair itself. Unless you’re a cheapskate and just use the caves. Man, I hate cheapskates.

i will shamlessly admit i use that cave every time :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s just not an option. No one wants to do that, or even see that.
I wanna have fun with the game and share that fun. I see your logical point, no need to be aggressive.

I’m pretty certain that this has already been mentioned somewhere, but since I can’t find it, I may as well ask again - what is the estimated size of the expansion?

Then you can be happy because Dikkie is streaming again.

Is it some sort of competition? If you want to stream then do so, there’ll be plenty of people out there who haven’t seen the streams of the xpac or of the game itself come to that. I don’t watch much apart from the dev stream on Fridays, but I think it’s more a personal taste for what a particular streamer is doing/showing than the fact that they’re all levelled up to max and have been playtesting the xpac for months.
