I like that the caster armour still looks like armour and is not only of silk and brocade. And heavy armour looks really massive.
Question for the devs:
Will it be possible to have an optional seperate aesthetic only ragdoll when equipping? It’s a small thing, but in Titan Quest I always liked the traditional Spartan warrior look, but because of the need to upgrade you had to pick items you wouldn’t necessarily be seen dead in.
From the images you’ve shown, I can see an awesome Witch Finder hat, but I want to be able to stay in those items for the entire game if I wish, not for the stats, just for the look.
Yeah i agree. An equipment appearance change feature (overwrite JUST the look of the item player wear actually) would be good introduced in some mmo like Warhammer Online for example. With this feature you multiple the item variationz and easier to see unique characters(fit better and more personal) with proper stats that is good look like for that level of character advancement.

pity that the alpha is still a bit of time to go, and the prefixes and affixes looks cool too, so loads of variation in weapons and armour, going to be really fun to find some powerful combos

I’d be in-game trying my luck for ages, haha. Variations share the name. An example:
Commando’s - Rare prefix
+Physique
+Cunning
+% Defensive Ability
+% Fire Damage
+1 to Forcewave
+1 to Grenado
Alternatively, you might get +1 to Cadence and +1 to Mortar Trap. There are a few variations, but not every possible combination of class skills.

Yea I really like the idea of the changing appearance thing but I can imagine it being a thing to change a long way into the future. Either way those high end armours look SWEEEEET.

I would love to play the game and find some awesome loot, it really does sound like farming will be fun and and fruitful so yeah, going to be interesting to see what variations people can find, I think I will be farming for hours trying my luck to get some powerful gear at this rate

How about consuming/destroying an item to change another item’s appearance to the consumed one, but keeping the stats of the other item? Which could maybe be done at the “mystic” or wherever it will be where you can remove upgrades from items? And maybe excluding unique items from this feature.

My only concern – I hope you guys can add more color to the armor sets especially at higher levels. Something along the lines of the Caster’s armor, it’s great to see functional pieces – that’s awesome! But I do like color, bright and shiny things.
Not to discourage your artists, I think they’ve done a wonderful job with what you requested! I think you need to request more colorful art is all! (Even if only a little more!)

Hmm… medium armor not seeing before.What a difference between medium and heavy armor?appearance look similar.
I hope there are some less cumbersome armour sets. These look a little too bulky for my aesthetics.
From the looks medium armour mixes leather and steel, while heavy armour is a full metal suit.
Gamewise they can have the same level requirement but medium armour has a lower physique requirement.
It would be interesting to know, if each type of armour has its own distinct quality or if the only difference is the armour value. Also - maybe some affixes are limited to certain types.
Edit: In TQ caster armour gives you always a bonus on energy regeneration, whereas melee armour has the higher armour value. Has something like this been carried over?
