@Zantai I’m not upset at all that you’re delaying the DLC, because I know that any game that’s rushed will definitely get worse. And Grim Dawn always came out in the best way. This is your achievement and you should be proud of it. You wear the crown of being the undisputed best arpg. This is now even talked about among all popular streamers. Take as much time as you want for this DLC. We will always be waiting, never hurry.
and…
Hail to the only king of arpg.

You’re worrying me, Crate. I don’t think it’s healthy for developers to be this absurdly good at their jobs for this long.

You don’t seem at all glad for us, friend. Maybe it’s time in your life to be more open to new things. You might find it more pleasant than hating every new thing.

How has Crate/Grim Dawn not won the Labor of Love award yet?

imagine pinpointing the worst problem the game currently has and not lifting a finger to fix it, lazy devs. :astonished:
this preview absolutely is the start of the hype, the altar and third affixes open up so much stuff and already while levelling, you guys are the best.

This is very good news indeed. I am looking forward to the new expansion and I will most definitely buy it when it is release. :grinning:

As an avid campaign farmer this is like music to my ears
Now who can say that Grim Dawn lacks endgame options
Can’t wait to get my hands on this and MOAR!

Also this, because I just got the position of pickleball coach

You know me too well.

The wait for FoA is getting more and more (and MOAR!) unbearable.

It’s like you were reading my mind …

Excellent update, this sounds way more interesting than I was honestly expecting, and super up my alley as someone who enjoys the open world and the adventure mode contracts-type stuff from Diablo 3.

I’d missed the previous nemesis update but that’s also a real nice change for players who just wanna play the game and experience it emergently rather than go on dedicated routes and spawn paths etc. Great direction IMO.

This I do understand. What I don’t understand is why it needs to be a separate mode (or toggle I guess) if you can access it naturally by just activating a physical in-game object - which makes more sense lore-wise in the first place. Saving some materials also feels like a weak encouragement, because at the point of being lvl 100 in Ultimate this shouldn’t be too much of a concern, and honestly people will still activate the shrine for its benefits.

Also, since we are talking restrictions (or lack thereof), it’s been about 3 years after new SR sets were introduced, and you know what? I still don’t have full Ember’s Calling set, which is the most interesting one to me and I wanted to try some builds with it. Goredrinker and Veilkeeper I have, sure, but why can’t I have fun with the set I want? It should drop from any source then, not just from Ultimate SR, you know? Otherwise it seems like gatekeeping. I mean, sometimes I myself have barely enough time just to land my ass on a chair, let alone farm SR all day long, but c’mon now, go double or nothing in regards to locking content behind something.

As much as I want to play this as soon as possible, take your time! I have found with the Terraria community that, the more we wait, the better the updates are. And thank you for being so attentive to the community!

seems legit, not bad at all.

Are these just per-feature toggles or does enabling them cost ressources too?

What ever you do ,just dont go POE on GD.

It’s a separate game mode because we bet the community would like some new stuff to do and new challenges to overcome. A new game mode allows us to ramp up the difficulty more than if we just made it work across the entire game. At the same time, it’s nice for more casual players to still experience these features without the pressure of playing on a difficulty they do not want to or cannot handle.

There’s all sorts of unique sources of loot in the game. The SR sets are no different in that regard. You are no more denied access to those sets than you would be getting Alkamos’s Scythe if you refused to ever run the Steps of Torment.

Based on the materials you place in the altar, different mechanics will be active.

What would going POE entail.
