How many Grim Misadventures am I holding up? Who knew numbers even went this high. Last time, we passed through Fort Ikon to explore the foreboding wilderness that awaits in Asterkarn proper, arriving at the gates of Kurnhold, the last sanctuary in a dying land.
If you have been keeping up with our dev updates, then you likely saw our June post detailing our plans for the expansion as well as our (at the time) estimate for the expansion’s release. We cast a fairly wide net with those dates, but we can firmly say now that 2025 is out of the picture and we are looking at the first half of 2026. Plans have been solidified, final bosses are moving, and the art team is working their way through the hundreds of new items that await you.
And speaking of those items, we have some Epic new art to share with you. A couple updates ago, we went into just what it takes to wake up Epic items up and make them Legendary. All of these weapons, and others like them, will be receiving exactly that treatment.
Cadence and onslaught. Is it just third hit that generates onslaught stacks or you get them while ramping up? I suspect it’s the former, and that will put the weapon to a disadvantage. Is it possible to alter the amount of stacks you gain on a cadence hit then, if changing the behaviour of the skill is harder to pull off? Or +3 onslaught stacks means exactly that?
Wonderful pieces in artistic design with their powers well distributed. When this DLC is released, I will miss these dark misadventures, but I am sure it will also be very exciting to restart for Grim Dawn 2. Great job, Master Z.
