Interesting, so these items give you new character head designs too? Pretty cool!
The Shadow Strike+Trozan’s Sky Shard is quite a strange build, one is a far-off area off effect nuke, the other teleports you right into the thick of enemies. You would have to have some good defense to survive that if the enemy does not freeze on hit.
It’s been quite the ride, following this game. But one I’m glad I was here for.
Is this the OG Path of Exile reference?
Sounds like something Dominus would have said.
Inquisitor Creed explicitly recognizes this in one of his last journal entries iirc.
Yesssssssss.
Been waiting for better TSS + SS support for ages, Praise the Three!
I always thought Zantarin derived from Zantai.
I think seeing Zantai’s GM #0 was the first visible sign that things were beginning to happen after the KS finished. Very exciting time.
I hope one day to have something similar to Berserk armor, a large, long, brutal sword like the two-handed Dragon Slayer, shoulder pads with a beautiful long, tattered cape, an arm with a powerful cannon ability (no problem if it has an absurd cooldown, capable of knocking down and stunning the enemy), how cool would that be, maybe a boss inspired by the spirit of Berserk (I think that’s more or less a wolf), or maybe at least a Loyalist Items Pack 4.
PLEASE ZANTAI!!! PLEASE ZANTAI!!!
PLEASE ZANTAI!!!
Oversized swords look ridiculous, imo.
You don’t need a lot in the game, just 1!!!
Be that as it may - and I don’t disagree - the Berserk sword is something of a classic.
And we are kinda getting the Berserker mastery, so it’s not an entirely unreasonable connection to make.
Awesome artwork! I particularly like the topmost Chtonic set, big fan of the aesthetic overall.
Famous last words, see you on the next next expansion ![]()
For real though, congrats on the set! It looks sick, will have to give it a try in game when the time comes.
Please no, these swords bigger than the character that wields them belong in anime, not in Grim Dawn
What would it cost to make a single sword of that standard in a huge game like GD with a multitude of other items? Just one sword (it might even be an illusion) wouldn’t break the game and would gladden the hearts of many. And those who didn’t want it simply couldn’t use it. Don’t be selfish!!
I really love this game and in my opinion is one of, if not THE best ARPG’s… BUT the netcode or multiplayer is really shit. i always have issues with my friend to play… either we have lag as hell with 1-2s delay or even cant see each other. i really really would appreciate a rework of the multiplayer netcode since this is the only issue in this game… would even buy a “Working Multiplayer Extension”…
Is there any chance for an update someday that allows for more opportunities to upgrade the act bases?
From an immersion standpoint, Act 1 always feels soooooo good. You bring some survivors back to the camp, find a blacksmith, secure the camp’s water supply, and convert some bolts of cloth into a more welcoming atmosphere. I’ll savescum at the Skinners until I get the good timeline (same thing with the slaves in Arkovia and the children in the Malmouth slums). Those little instances where you actually SEE improvements to the quality of life of the dwindling scraps of humanity, well, those really do feel better than any other quest reward.
Fwiw, Skinner and the New Harbor quest are deterministic - there is only one timeline. The Malmouth quest is the only unpredictable one (unless you want the death option - you can always force that).
I also like the base-upgrade quests. Maybe there will be something of that in FoA (just guessing, don’t know anything).
Death option in Malmouth = instant experience. Like others have said you are definitely NOT the good guy in this game.
Well, who’s to say saving Nicoh Erin is a good thing anyway?
Point well taken - that is left ambiguous isn’t it? Goes with the entire theme of the game regarding the morality of your character.
