Ok…I’ll bite. Why is crafting useless?
Will it be possible to get some special, dismantled-only components?
Because nobody required to craft every recipe, this shouldn’t be painful, but very nice addition.
Ok…I’ll bite. Why is crafting useless?
Because crafting of random items and oils is not balanced right now. Well maybe oils will be useful in the future but i’m not sure.
I am not liking this idea, all components that you can get this way should also drop imo.
This is about having a use for the dynamite that keeps on dropping, not to introduce some extra rare components for crafting.
How are the random items not balanced ? They get the same prefixes and affixes as can drop or be bought at the vendors…
So maybe they aren’t balanced, but then that is not a result of crafting (and I don’t think they are meant to be balanced either, there are inferior and superior affixes)
This is a snippet of the B19 changelog relating to Crafting:
- Reduced the Scrapmetal and Iron Bits crafting cost of Enchanted items
- Increased the quality of items generated from Enchanted blueprints and updated the description to better clarify that these recipes can generate items of Rare quality.
- Increased the chance of getting rare affixes on Rare quality blueprints (ex. Ranger’s Badge).
- Reduced the crafting cost of consumables
- Increased the duration of crafted consumables, but also added a cooldown on their use
Seems like it touches on all of your issues.
Cool! Can’t wait to play B19~
Great. I hope this will make viable to use “consumables” to pass difficult content (for example chaos resist in DS)
This is good news. The majority of the ointments and oils I have found to be of little use, and not worth expending rare components to make them.
The Venomfang Oil is one of the few worthwhile ones. It gives a very nice boost to DPS when using poison-based weapons, and lasts a decent amount of time.
I have made a bunch of these, and they are now an indispensable part of my poison builds…
Pretty cool addition if someone will be in need of scrap and components.
I got a quick question though:
What will we get if we try to dismantel an item with a placed component? Scrap, random component and part of the component we originaly placed? Or will we completly lose the originaly placed component?
You will get a warning that you are about to destroy an item with a component inside. If you proceed, you will get Scrap + the component. You will not have a chance of generating an extra component piece.
I love this game so fucking much.
I lost everything was inside my bag , this update --’’
See the usefully named thread B19 bug.
Some amount of garden soil I guess:eek:
Cant wait for the misadventure #48 next Monday, or is it today?
A quote from Zantai on every misadventure.
Dismantling will provide you with another avenue of generating precious materials for crafting and augmenting your equipment while also providing the ever important service of blowing stuff up. It is not the only new feature coming your way though. Stay tuned on 06/23/14 for our next development update!
if you read the first post in every misadventure thread, there is always a date when the new misadventure will be posted
just wondering if we will get more recipes that call for scrap that are actually desirable. don’t get me wrong i want the best stuff to be drops, but outside of relics and components i really don’t have much incentive to craft any armor/weapons. i do have blue weap/armor recipes as well as a slew of greens but the actual use of these recipes is not that high. omen was the big one but its been replaced with drops.
still its a neat feature, just not sure how useful it will be.
I wonder what makes an item “more powerful”, level? unique? rare? all of the above? Choose one?
Well, the idea of using dynamite to break things is interesting.Gonna make me think some more before breaking something(unlike D3 where you break everything unnided). But judging by the screens it will take a lot of dynamite to break a good item(hope there will be a purpose to do so). And for now I dont see where to find dynamite aside from bandit mine. I mean its much easier to find scrap as you proceed, and the idea to farm the mines for dynamite doesn`t seem interesting at all. And the only caves announced for Act 3 are invaded by monsters, who are not likely to have any(
