Grim Misadventure #50: A Very B20 Preview

but that doesn’t really answer his question
“will you be doing an announcement of a definate patch day a few days beforehand, or will it just be announced when it goes live on steam?”

the devs could easily make this announcement on Friday afternoon, “the patch has been tested and built. We will be sending it to Steam this Monday. As soon as they load it on their servers you will be able to download it.”

From evidence of other patch releases it would be a “no” if I remember correctly from past patch releases. It’s released when it’s released. Why delay it’s release if it is ready? Wouldn’t it be better to bring it out right away so people can test it sooner for feedback or bugs? This way you wouldn’t be wasting time by twiddling your fingers for a few days but get it out - get a response from those playing - and fix whatever issues that may happen or simply plan for future fixing as being aware earlier will give you time to think over solutions later.

I don’t see why set dates are good.

Create hype? Not always a good thing and the patch itself will create excitement if it’s good. And if there is a delay or the patch is bad/buggy the response can be largely negative.

Warn players so they can schedule playing time? The game doesn’t revolve around the player’s life - otherwise with everyone’s conflicting time schedules it would be impossible to appease everyone.

Nice to see constant progress, please also don’t forget to implement the allocated loot option if there is some time i would appreciate it a lot.

Keep up the good work devs

I’ve been waiting for this update before buying the game, didnt wanna spoil the story in solo mode, so i can play it coop with my brother :).
Our summer holidays are going to end soon, hopefully it will be released before the end.

Yess thanks for this :D!!

Fantastic news!
Also, +1 for loot allocation options if it’s possible. It really would encourage partnering with strangers.

Good results, Sir.

You guys really do a great job of making progress and keeping us updated. So excited for the transmutes.

What is the time for B20 pls? Tired of raping the Death room again and again :)))

2-4 weeks if everything goes to plan

Can’t wait! in such short time since act 2, you guys sure work quick
I would love to test the new build!

i love you so much right now!

I cannot wait for this update

Thanks for the update, Crate. Rock on, baby!

can just do what i do on my non nightblade characters and that is to save the room of rape until after you clear floor 5. i find that room tougher then the actual boss and the loot is frequently better lol.

I found out about this game in the sacred 3 forums about 4 days ago and so I bought it on steam. Wish I would have checked the website first because I definitely would have bought the Loyalist version. Steam only shows the regular 24.99 early access version of the game.

This is the first early access game I have ever bought and I have fallen in love with this game. I love the fights in this game. The action is awesome. I am an ARPG junkie. I have been playing ARPG for a long time now. D3 was a big let down for me. Over the last 3 days I have played this game for 28 hours. I have really enjoyed this game. So much so that I am actually posting in a forum which I hardly ever do.

I am excited to see the changes coming in B20 and will continue to play B19 until the B20 release. I have only experienced 2 crashes in the game and sent the reports. For a game that is not finalized the pre-release is an great gaming experience. Great job developers and I like that you communicate with the fans. I will definitely be a supporter of your game and post any helpful information I can.

^Welcome and glad to hear that you’re having fun.

^ likewise, welcome man. I totally concur. I’ve played every arpg I could find in existence for the last 13 or so years and Grim Dawn is the first that I project may finally fill the void of Diablo 2. There’s so much room for play diversity being created.

I guess every dev need age of empire champion to lead arpg development. Unbeatable formula! Simply genius!

All I gotta say is

Gimmie gimmie, keep up the good work. I am very excited to see this when it is done.

Agree wholeheartedly. I too have big hopes
