If they actually make Rifles viable, it will indeed be a happy day. Hoping for some actually decent epic / legendary ones.
Haven’t played in a while, but I’ll give B27 a fresh run. The rebalancing seems to address several issues I had with progression, and the new conversion mechanics should allow for more versatility. Looking forward to it.
Hey Marney good to see you back
Are the item changes going to be retroactive again? The buffing/nerfing cycle is something I’m used to, but I noticed that the Physique requirement on the Blessed Torch increased by around 12%. Physique usually isn’t an issue, but if there are increases in Cunning or Spirit requirements, I could see people being unable to use some items on existing characters until the level cap increases.
Should I stockpile Polished Emeralds for the coming storm?
you should delete everything and start with a clean slate!
It’s happened many times.
yes, items do not actually storr stats, they are all retrieved from the database, so any change always is retroactive
Question here in regards to the character sheet overhaul:
Are you going to add the modifier that spirit/cunning provides to character sheet 2 as well?
Currently, when calculating how much fire damage I do per hit I have to do the following:
Magic damage modifier from spirit + fire modifier on page 2 = total fire modifier.
The damage per hit is shown correctly though so the damage modifier that spirit gives IS taken into account here.
It was done this way so you wouldn’t have to subtract your Spirit bonus from the total to get the reverse (total from gear). Can’t have it both ways.
What about armor % and armor absorption?
Just keeps getting better and better :D.
Fair enough. If it’s a choice between one and the other I prefer it this way too. Though might it be an idea to adjust the tooltip on say the fire damage modifier since this can be confusing for people who aren’t aware that spirit bonus isn’t calculated into the damage modifier on sheet 2?
Currently it states “Percent bonus to all <X Damage> dealt by attacks and spells”. Which is an untrue statement.
The following would be true though “Percent bonus to all <X Damage> dealt by attacks and spells, minus the percent bonus from spirit”.
Spirit is to be replaced by cunning ofcourse, depending on the damage type.
great!
the conversion of physical damage to% elemental (hopefully poison / chaos / and another … also is) is really amazing, do not know when already spent trying to create weapons “desired harm” and not physical!
the quick action bars (1 2 3 4 …) will also be updated as the least of character to demonstrate the damage of the right skills and not default?
as “left- click / move” and “right-click / debuf” for casters: D
parabens and the evolution of the game has been really good! beyond the expected to the old engine: D
Couldn’t you have it so that when you hover your mouse over the TOTAL it would break it down by “here’s gear contribution to %, here’s stat %”?
best update since the addition of act 2
Why many caster skills dont have % Weapon damage???
i dont understand this shitest system
always best char’s melee class …
So everything isn’t streamlined and boring, I guess.
I agree there are balance issues between the scaling of auto-attacks/physical attacks and spells but I don’t think having a D3-like system, where everything scales with weapon damage and all you need to do good damage is a good weapon, would be healthy for the game nor interesting.
We really haven’t had the balancing pass yet… They have been fiddling things so they are not completely out of wack… but they are aware that the PPM skills are lacking in scaling versus the %wepdmg skills.

"Our current plan is to make melee classes TOTALLY overpowered! After the next patch all other classes will be nerfed so much they will become virtually unplayable but melee characters will be so overpowered that the game will be trivial and boring for them. Thus everyone will abandone TQ and move on to the next game. Since no one will be playing TQ there will be fewer posts to respond to and we’ll be able to develop our next product more quickly. That is our long-term strategy. "
he had the sense of humor even back then i see, lol
