B27 looks like it will be a lot of fun. Impatiently waiting…
The tooltip is a huge thing for me… Finally!
Thank you!
I’m very pleased to know that skills on components have been tweaked. heh, I plan to finally be able to use chaos bolt in an optimal manner! Ohh I can’t wait to try it out again!

so much great improvement to the game and the UI, like the skill dispalaying the true dmg value… and there’s still room for surprises like the new area near Burrwitch and the new dungeon… Awesome !
Love the dynamic tooltips, sad that not even Diablo 3 does those! I eagerly await the day I am surprised by Steam downloading a large Grim Dawn update soon…

A larger radius is precisely what that skill needed, nice. Little more damage wouldn’t hurt, either…
But it was annoying being able to be hit by melee attackers who were outside the radius of the proc.
Thanks for the update, can’t wait to see the changes made and the extra area.

But wait…we’re not finished. Skill tooltips have been overhauled as well. With Build 27, skill tooltips will update dynamically with your gear and skill bonuses, showing you exactly how your gear improves your skills, including a total value for the elusive % Weapon Damage.
Will they show how things like cooldown reduction and energy cost reduction affect the skills?

Almost one year passed. So much time needed to see needed changes. Our life is so slow and ends too fast.
Now waiting for this:

I’m speaking about component limitation by weapon type.
But I afraid this is thing where game designer can be stubborn.
Nice!.. Looking forward to this.

Looking forward to digging into the game some more with 27.
Will the changes to weapons nerf summoners a little bit?

Agreed, as a caster (PhB specifically) you are severely limited as to what you can put on off-hands whereas melee users can basically put all optimal components on their DW weapons.

Zantai:
As the development of the game progressed, we felt that armor fell increasingly behind the incoming damage characters take. As such, Armor values have been significantly increased on equipment. This has two major ramifications: melee will have an easier time surviving where they belong, in the thick of it, and upgrading between armor tiers will become much more rewarding.
Does this include enemy armor values? Part of the Physical damage dominance stemmed from enemy armor being poor defence for them compared to resistances, and Physical resistance for foes being basically non-existent.
Ceno:
AAAAAAHHHH!
Oh wait…
Those enhanced loot tables are nice though, sounds familiar…
I hadn’t brought it up anywhere because I figured you guys would be doing your own thing, but please tell me that Kilrian’s Flame is being reworked? The skill is abysmally bad, but there’s no feedback about it `cause everyone normally just takes Chains of Oleron/Hallowed Ground. Edit: The component’s stats themselves are solid, though.
here is a build that is making good use of Kilrian’s shattered soul and it’s proc skill as a last line defence: http://youtu.be/pGyaVn3E9yw
OMG! Players can already do whatever builds they want! NOW PLAYERS WILL KNOW HOW TO EFFICIENTLY DO WHATEVER BUILDS THEY WANT FASTER! This is AWESOME !!!

[…]
You can look forward to significantly reduced cooldowns on item skills (in many cases the cooldown was removed) as well as more competitive damage with their Mastery counterparts.
[…]
Thanks to the latest in quantum algorithms coming with Build 27, we have dramatically reduced the frequency with which you will get duplicate uniques in the same session.
On the Magic item front, we have completely redone the loot tables such that lower level prefixes will fall off sooner, resulting in a significantly increased probability of getting level-appropriate bonuses. In some cases, we introduced additional tiers to affixes so that the upgrades come more consistently. This change will impact both Monster and Crafted loot, which means less junk loot when crafting and when hunting monsters.
With Build 27, we have made the difference between weapon tiers much higher, while also reducing the magnitude of flat damage bonuses on all equipment. What this change means is that finding a weapon upgrade will be a lot less reliant on good RNG.
[…]
First, Conversion on gear will happen before any % damage bonuses you have on your equipment and auras/passives, which means the converted damage will scale with your bonuses. Secondly, we made Conversion a lot easier to acquire via Components, Item Prefixes and Epics, meaning that not only a portion of the physical damage dealt by weapons will instead become your desired magical element, any skills that deal heavy physical damage will become viable options for hybrid builds as well.
The weapon rebalance will also include an update to Caster weapons, two handed gun damage, and the balancing penalty on Pierce Ratio, so there is much to look forward to for pure casters and gun-wielders as well.
YES!
I’m sorta-sorry for caps-locking, but that’s the only way I can express my appreciation. I wish the forums had a dancing emoticon.
