That is true, I cannot deny that…
Hell I am still stuck in 1, hard mode, with a Hardcore character.
If I make a mistake, it’ll be gone.
So, in a way, I do get you.
When I die, I guess, I need to start allover once more…
Lost already 3 chaps this way.
On a different question, my next fella will be a Lightning dude.
Any shockin’ build you’ve got for me to mess with? XD
Anyone?
OOOOH, right, so, I want to use this GrimInternalsData for increased loot-pick-up, but is this compatible with Grimellion?
And can I actually toggle all the rest off?
I do not want a death count, or damage stuff like crazy flyin’ around…
I only want a 2, maybe 3 meter auto-pick-up range…
Nothin’ else.
And only now just realized I was talking about the wrong char in this thread.:o I’m playing both this and Reign of Terror and I posted about the wrong char in the wrong thread. I’m actually playing Occultist/Earth in Grimarillion and it’s going pretty well though I probably need to optimize my devotions and maybe some gear.
My Firelord is a traditional summoner. Core Dweller makes for a massive tank with 2 of its passives maxed along with a taunt aura, 2 Hellhounds thanks to the Shepherd of Lost Souls set and the Revenent of Og’NaPesh from the Epic caster off-hand.
I’m a tad dissapointed, for a lightning mage combination.
Over three classes there are 6 lightning ‘spells’, one of which a 30 second CD.
I do have one question: the “boost lightning skills” (Was this a skill or an item thing?) I came across, is that for ALL classes, or one in particular?
OH, Lightning Affinity, the Elementalist skill, right.
Hmm, I believe there’s an item that does similar… unsure…
So, do these go over all lightning based skills, or only Elementalist?
God, I hope to see a true Lightning Lord build in the future… hint hint lol.
Well… dunno…
Whole Dream mastery MAYBE with it’s TOTAL physical to lightning conversion!
Wizard have MANY lightning transmuters!
Shaman, Inquisitor and MANY other masteries have lightning based skills.
Not to mention items with conversion http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68051
And yes, Elementalist’s Lightning Affinity convert elemental damage to lightning from all masteries.
Maybe you should finally start to learn the game mechanics before posting something?
I understand it is bloody difficult to make decent animations and special effects and the lot, so, I’m not going to get on your case, good Sir, for one or two more skills that would be bloody hard to implement.
The actual question was, if Lightning Affinity, the passive, works on ALL lightning skills, over all classes, or that it is class specific.
I need to know this, for the build I like to try.
IF not, could this be opened up for the other classes in the future?
Here is the straightforward example of lazy PURE lightning build with Wizard + Elementalist https://goo.gl/Sa5Lqd
With permanent Citadel of Ice http://prntscr.com/lssj6t
The gear is pretty mediocre right now but that’s not the point.
You can also mix any of mentioned above masteries with Storm to get nearly the same experience, with it’s pros and cons.
You have Elementalist’s Lightning Affinity that converts ALL elemental damage to lightning. Thus Storm ice skills become PURE lightning, for example.
And if you are talking about COLOUR|ANIMATION change of skills upon conversion - there are enough of those with TRANSMUTERS + lightning skills from items.
Yes, I got that.
But shall I go Ele/Wiz or Ele/Storm?
And seeing the skills usually come at a later level, how to proceed?
Well, carefully, of course! lol
But what skills should i aim for first, without becoming TOO weak in the beginning
Addendum:
I have a Thane’s (prefix) item, adding to both Warfare and Storm Mastery.
Not sure this is a uniqum, or that other combinations are possible as well.
However: There seems to be extremely little for Lightning based (and maybe other combinations, this I cannot either confirm nor deny, anyone on this?) combinations.
Will this be added in a certain future, or?
Has it never even occured (can be) this might be a ‘thing’?
Please do not take this as a request, just trying to gain some information.
I came across a unique sword, Crusader’s Conduit.
This one-hand sword features mutiple damage types as base damage.
Does this apply to ‘spells’ as well?
Meaning, when I hit someone with the blade, these damages are applied due to direct contact with the blade, but when I cast a ‘spell’ there is no contact with said blade, and thus in theory it’s damages do not apply.
Is that the same here, or do these, in fact, add to the ‘spell’?
I’m currently leveling a monk/storm focusing on Fists of thunder AA (kind of underwhelming so far). To answer your second question, about Crusader’s conduit, AFAIK spells only benefit from %damage multipliers, not from base weapon damage, neither from flat damage sources (eg, Brute force won’t add a thing to a lightning spellcaster). That’s because caster skills have their own base damage (the damage of the skill itself) which is further enhanced by %damage.
