Grimarz/arc has no EXE file. How do i use them?

I have for years been stuck unable to figure out how to use Grimarc or Grimarz since the only downloads i have ever found have lacked an executable.

Please help.

PS: I mainly want them to fool around with other peoples mods and the built in extractor never works. I love playing peoples mods but being unable to make those small changes that bug me, like changing the Necromancers gross summon, is really annoying. I just can’t enjoy myself as much while i have to dance around things like that. So if you know a way to perform such edits on other peoples mods, please respond.

The tools that ship with GD do work, maybe you do not use the right commands / syntax (they are finnicky).

There is a tutorial that might help you

http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39952

Read that before but i guess if its the only way i can try again. I just never seem to get it right so i was hoping there was some other option.

There is also a UI for the tool

So i tried it and it seems to be working for arc files which is better than ive been able to do so far. Of course it could be missing something given my lack of experience on the subject and i would not know.

For Arz files however it just extracts the folder structure which i don’t think is intended unless i missed something. A bunch of empty folders is interesting but probably not going to get me anywhere.

Would you happen to know anything about this? I only ask you because you have been helpful so far and the thread for this tool looks dead going by comment dates. So while i have commented there i doubt it will garner much attention. The most recent comment seems to have fallen flat after all and was quite similar to my own.

Thank you for everyone you have done so far. Its nice to have someone actually respond to this question.

EDIT: Ok so i figured it out. Turns out you need it in the same place as the archive tool itself for it to work, duh. Sorry i wasted your time and THANK YOU for what you have done today. This is going to make things a lot more fun now that i can finally play with peoples mods. It also means ill be able to think about my own mods since with amazing work and compilations all over the place it always seemed pointless to make anything myself if it mean’t missing out on what others have created.

Again thank you so much for finally fixing a problem i have had for years. Literally since the game became moddable.
