I was using this program(GD Stash) the other week and everything seemed fine then one day I got on and my character was 10 levels lower and missing items. After doing some research, I read that cloud messes things up alot.
I disabled cloud while in game under general, then went out and made sure I have a documents/grimdawn/save. Then I copied the save thats in your steam userdata area with that long number 91833253 then 219990 and pasted into documents/grimdawn/save and overwrited if asked.
Heres my problem, when installing GD Stash, everything goes well with installation, all that and when I am setting up the configuration, the install directory works fine, but the save directory doesn’t work it just says Error: Wrong Directory. No matter what I do or change, this error keeps popping up and I have no idea how to fix it, because when I make a character in game with cloud off, and go into GD stash to edit character, there is no char drop down box to edit as if the program does not recongnize the game or something.
it should not result in something like this though, but in the changes you made in the tool getting lost
I disabled cloud while in game under general
also disable it for GD in Steam
then went out and made sure I have a documents/grimdawn/save.
should be documents/mygames/grimdawn/save

make sure you have a transfer.gst/.gsh (shared stash file) in the save dir. GD Stash checks for that to identify the correct dir
Thank you Mamba for replying…that transfer.gst and gsh is found initially where at and your saying to put it in the save file where i go into documents/my games?
Yea I have no idea where this Transfer thing is your talking about, I am so frustrated atm. I don’t know why this seemingly small thing is keeping me from playing this game because this is essential for my playthrough.
