No.

2h ranged prevents the use of both shadow strike and pneumatic burst. At that point the entire nightblade side of a poison WH is pointless.

I was leveling a Witchblade Warborn which is still Occultist, but, the poison skills are so fun, and I wanna to change for something like that, combo pet + poison will be awesome, to pets to block and let me free hit, casting my poison’s skill.

My character its still low lvl, but I was playing like that, using my sumon’s as free blockers/tanks and casting my skill far, which I liked the gameplay alot.

Something like that I was thinking, but I dunno much about poison builds, mostly of my builds are lighting or aether based.

You can make a very nice cooldown-based 2H Melee witch hunter using Nightshade’s Reach, with DOTs from Shadow Strike, DEE, Mark of Dreeg, Dreeg’s Affliction, and the various poison-based celestial powers. If you use a ranged weapon like Quillthrower to trigger ABB from range, you get +100OA and the extra flat damage on your shadowstrike as well.

I don’t think I’d try to use a ranged weapon as the core of a poison build, though. If you don’t need the weapon damage for Shadow Strike and you’re focusing on being a poison caster with DEE, then you’re probably better off with a wand and offhand than you would be with a crossbow.

You can still use pneumatic just not the cdr modifier

There is a legendary called quillthrower of dreeg that you could use in combo with nightshade’s reach. As far as actual dots from weapons you are better off dual wielding for that purpose

Pets+poison will be good early on, bad later. One or the other will end up very weak. There are some items that give pets poison/acid damage, but not enough to make a real hard poison/acid pet build which would be fun

Witch hunter >> warlock, but warlock is still decent for sure

But I was thinking to pets just to tank for me not to deal damage.

You will find that your pets cannot hold aggro while you are dealing damage.

Well… Ill go as pure caster them, one handed + off hand.
