Has anyone tried a Blade Arc Blademaster?

http://grimcalc.com/build/1009-g3GvXf

I was thinking something like this

One of my first characters os a Pierce/phys 2h sword blademaster initially designed with BA.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rz-4Bxv3bys

In the video i use Cadence. just imagine half the killing time with BA and you have your build:)

the problem with your build is you are picking up the nightblade WPS skills and spammable Blade Arc. You can’t proc the WPS skills while using Blade Arc. If you want to use both Blade Arc and WPS skills then you need to take the Blade Arc transmuter. This way after using Blade Arc while its on cooldown you will proc the WPS off auto attack.

If you want to do a Blade Arc Blademaster I’d suggest doing 2h spammable Blade Arc and Maxed out Shadowstrike for single target damage.

Something like this http://grimcalc.com/build/1009-xJyqwm (Build assumes you have +2 to all skills) (but I would change your Devotion set-up)
Shadow Strike in use Lethal Assault to buff Blade Arc and future Shadow Strikes.

Would Aim for Leviathan or Bane of the Winter King or Soulrend (doesn’t seem to be a link for it on gracefuldusk)

EDIT*** Test Character I threw together***
Once geared it ends up being a solid build. High Crit damage (120% on Blade Arc & 110% on Shadow Strike) 15% Life Steal. Could be more DPS if you get a better % Physical to cold on your Soulrend (Mine is pretty low) My resists suck but you can lose the +1 shadow strike from my boots and get a better pair of defensive boots (Health and Resists). When Fighting Spirit procs DPS goes over 51K and OA close to 3.1k

There’s not a single point to play blade arc as blademaster.

edit: there could be a single point - full pierce with a good sinister 2H weapon

something like that

and blades of wrath all the way

wonder if that would work with nightshade’s reach and a poison hybrid build?

It works but with cadence/deadly momentum

ok the default weapon attack was a mistake. So what about a warder with a dual wield melee activation relic. I know I should just try it but I wonder if I would get blade arcs from both weapons

pretty sure it rotates weapons every other attack, but not 100% sure as I have never dual wielded and used blade arc.

Blade arc only work with main hand weapon. So it is best to use 2h weapon or sword/shield. Dual wield + blade arc = no no

Depends, if it’s DW build with Pit Axes like Boris has, it can be interesting:)

Trouble is finding a good pit axe…

Well doesn’t that suck…sigh. Back to the drawing board of building as Monty Python would say

“And now for something completely different”

am working on this build atm… cant seem to progress because of PITAmaster Boris and his mediocre axe drops:(

If he spawns…IF he has a pit axe…pfff… A Bloodthirsty of Voracity/Cruelty/Slaughter is the Dream:rolleyes:

I need your advise Fluff! for a dw ba spamming pit master build… would a warder using primal bond be a good choice… am in a dilemma whether I go that way or go bm oleron rage instead…

That is the hardest dilemma for DW or 2h Warders. Warders have poor OA and you need as much of it to bank everything in BA. tried all ways ad Damage wise the best are by far Storm Pact and Oleron.

DW has the great advantage of being able to pick charriot easily. with charriot and Tenacity of the Boar charged up you should reach up to 2800 OA. At that pont Storm Pact will actually deliver the biggest hits. It’s what i do on my trickster. Damage can get so high i’m debating whether to upload a video:D You will be skill starved too. Ifyou go Storm pact then take only 40 points in Soldier mastery or, if you go Oleron take 40 in Shaman.

So in the end for Damage if at least 2800 OA Storm Pact> Oleron but you will be squishier. As long as it’s for vanilla that should be manageable though.

Edit: i just realized it’s BA Spamming you said so no tenacity of the boar…If you can’t get 2700 OA Minimum!! then Oleron. I squeezed 2720 on my trickster and am using storm pact. If it’s BA spam don’t expect dot’s higher than 80K. Savagery would benefit from Markovian and zollhan procs on DW but that is another build it seems

thanks for the insight… am just too tired of using storm pac since i have already used it in like a dozen of builds…

now let’s get that video rolling :stuck_out_tongue:

If you mean my video idk, bleed got nerfed too recently. It would be sad to make it seem too overpowered since it’s not really the case. Fighting undead and Obsidians with it is hardly spectacular even with racial damage
