HC - Bleed / Pierce Primalist Werewolf - WIP need advice

Hello everyone,

when FoA launched I started a new Berserker build from scratches - main objective: clearing endgame and celestials in HC.
I’ve chosen to focus on Bleed damage so I rolled Shaman as the second class and my char ended up like this:

a Bleed/Pierce hybrid which has been able to cut down Ascendant Beronath,Ravager, Calla and the new Mogdogren already. Also, S34 cleared but I’m too scared to go further right now because I’ve already got almost oneshotted a couple of times from bad mods and nemesis combos.

Playstile is kinda simple: facetank whenever I can with Feral Claws, Rip and Tear and Leap doing the damage and leeching, then jump away and run around when things go bad (fuck sunder, for real) and let the bleeds tick.

Now, I have to ask help to the community about what should I focus on to push it further…
DISCLAIMER: I use no mods, no GDStash, so it may take a bit to drop something useful.

Legs and Boots can be better for sure, trying to drop some good defensive greens but no luck so far, but I think those should be the best slots to focus on to get more DA and defenses in general.
Also rings: note that phys is converted to pierce by Sincarver so I can keep using the ones I have now, but I’m looking for good alternatives like these:

And about weapons, I’m still unsure if I should swap to Mythical Butcher of Burrwitch - Legendary One-Handed Axe - Grim Dawn Item Database for more powerful bleeds and a bit more tankiness on Primal Bond bonus points.
Other than those I have already, it seems there are no other strong options tbh.

I’m also baffled there is no specific set for Primalist - everything I drop it’s either focusing on other classes combos, or other damage types, but nothing I can fully benefit on this char.

So, is there any item which I can “easily” farm and should bring me a big boost right now? Some big MIs? Peculiar legendaries?

Also, please check my Devotions and tell me if there’s a better way to plan them.

Feel free to critique my build and share your suggestions, so far it has been a pleasant surprise but there’s a lot of room for improvements!

I’m working on a bleed Mystic. It’s only level 78 so far, so this is purely theorycrafting for where I want it to be, but some stuff might be useful.

In particular the Mythical Scion of Crimson Wakes - Legendary One-Handed Axe - Grim Dawn Item Database and Mythical Bloodmist Boots - Legendary Boots - Grim Dawn Item Database seem like they might be applicable for your build.

I wanna thank you: totally forgot about the new shield - was skeptic because of no passives buffing shield but it works great nonetheless…I lost a bit of dps but I’m really tankier now.
All celestials down except for the new FoA secret quest ones… I could easily facetank everything except for the crate guy :sweat_smile:

Now working on more defenses, then gonna do the beaver quests and we’ll see how it goes…

hi.

have you tried to invest lesser points into mogdrogens pact and instead invest more in amatoks pact for a DA and armor boost?

and i would do 1 point into icebound for 17% poison and vitality resistances.

i maybe giving up some points of heart of the wild and go further into form of the beast.
Or does this not affect the damage at all?

Crimson awakes is BiS when it comes to bleeding shamans . I can’t see the purpose of Oleron’s in the Devotion map , bleeding build without Mogdrogen Howl and Berserker is not a bleeding build . Skill tree also can be better since I can’t see the benefit from hard capped Mogdrogen pact main node , you get only some energy regen from all this 12 hard points which can go Grasping vines ( extra dot application ) or Implements of War for stronger bleeds from auto attacks application . Rings also not very optimal , Carnage set rings are miles better and they are epic common drop , you have to stack bleeds duration because this directly increase your overall DPS . I can’t play bleeding build without Bloodfury Spaulders just too good shoulders to pass on.Silk Swatch in shoulders also can be replaced since you need Bleeding Overcaps only if you fight Ravager of Flesh and pierce overcap is not needed . There are few other minor stuff but I don’t want to spam the post too much
