Please stop the madness of the Hide Cap having more armor than the Scrapmetal Casque. Game balance and item levels be darned, there is simply no universe in which this is true. There is nothing wrong with the tier 2 light having less armor than the tier 1 heavy. They can stagger a little.
But you do not know where the hide comes from?
Or maybe it is called “hide cap” because the cap hides a thick kevlar layer. 
And maybe the Scrapmetal Casque is very scrap metal, with no padding and rust everywhere 
“Brittle Potmetal Casque” maybe.
Yeah that’s the sort of thing…with a %chance on receiving a crit of shattering causing additional pierce dmg to self and nearby mobs
