Why am I here? Well having just been burnt by blizzard with D3 and their online only play and my crappy internet connection to battle.mess (350-600+ms) and other games in development that plan to be internet only, Grim dawn looks like it is the clear winner for myself and my internet-less friends for our future d2/titan quest/etc game play fixes.
Still playing Titan quest and Diablo 2 from time to time, Great games!
I too, am an Australian rather fed up with D3. I’d recommend checking out Torchlight 2 if you haven’t already. I think it may scratch your aRPG itch until Grim Dawn is released.
Never played D1 or 2 - not that old as a gamer although I’m pushing 40 myself - but would have tried D3 if there was off-line play. I’m giving the Path of Exile beta a run at the moment and it’s pretty damn fine.
