I’m not sure if this belongs here or not, but I wanted to ask if anyone else would really like the ability to toggle headwear/headgear/helmet visuals on or off in the games settings somewhere?

Most of the time i’m playing HC Vet and it really sucks that I can’t run around heroicly w/o headgear (see: every Die Hard, every Hollywood chase scene, every Warhammer character w/ a memorable name/Rancor from StarCraft’s visor was always up(That may have been the Cigar’s fault)/etc.) slaying monsters like it’s nobody’s business, because I lose out on all those extra socket slots/resistances/armor/etc.

Secondly, I was wondering if this has been addressed before, or if it is a common request indeed, have the devs said anything about including this?

Finally, If the devs have no intention of adding this or something that accomplishes the same thing (vanishing dye/whatever), is there a mod or mods? Or even a simple way to alter the games files such that my head cannot be altered visually?

TL;DR - Dunno if this goes here, is there any chance of the devs adding the ability to toggle helmets? Has this been mentioned before? If yes, when? If not, are there any mods that can accomplish this? Or perhaps a gamefile I can edit to force my head’s model/texture to be in-alterable?

I understand your point, but I know personally i’d still prefer to be able to turn it off, in games like fallout 3/4, or UnderRail/Diablo, whatever kind of RPG, I usually disable my helms, or download a md that allows me to remove them with a bound key for dialogues and stuff.

In general the whole idea of being able to disable helmets will only really appeal to the more role-play-ey players i’d think.

maybe there will be a option in the expansion with the illusionist, you could atleast make it look like a really discrete helmet with that i guess…

Only if head customization was a thing. Otherwise it would serve little purpose.

If I dont like a particular helmet I disable them using Kory’s Illusion powers! hey I am talking to you Ultos Head! :rolleyes:

problem is that I always end up with a weird looking gray wig!

I’m ok with the helmet cuz the default character appearance isn’t that good.

If you can customize in face or hairstyle, the option may be useful.

I wanna re-appearance all female character to 2D waifu lol

I occasionally do this but for the rest i dont mind seeing the headgear

You cant change the characters look and you will be playing the game from up top, there is no reason…

Many players are playing at full zoom out, so head is very small. Only at full zoom in is head and face visible. Head customization is a bit useless for that reason IMO. Head armor is bigger than head and so details of head armor are more pronounced. I dont see reason for that option. Its only my opinion of course.

The fact that ANYONE voted “No”, absolutely perplexes me to no end.

It’s like other people having choices that the naysayers themselves would abstain from, mortally offends them.

It is inexplicable, to me, frankly.

Especially seeing as such is purely an aesthetic choice.

It’s as assholish a stance as railing against the new transmog option that is coming in the expansion.

I do the same thing, I find myself that I’d rather look like George Washington running around blastin’ a colt than have one of the helmets or a hat of some sort on.
