I’ve only been playing GD for a few days but I’m already in love with it! I looked over the skills and decided to play as a Spellbreaker. I know what skills I want to use, but I’m unsure on the devotions to take. This is what i have worked out so far. http: //grimcalc. com/build/PnMat2 Trying to go for +damage and cast speed. I could use some advice on if there are better options for the Devotions I’ve chosen. Thank!
Spellbreakers don’t have much hp, you need more of it. I have a spellbreaker with ray and devastation and he is under 10K even with points in behemoth, targo and scales of ulcama.
Use flash freeze. It almost makes the difference between success and failure in ultimate.
Max inner focus asap for OA. Also get more OA from devotion (chariot of the dead).
Don’t use PRM and ray together, instead pick either one or the other with devastation. If you want to use ray, you will have to max IEE for mana regen and use every - mana cost item you can find. You will also need both desintegration and elemental balance for crit damage. Getting scales of Ulcama for energy leech proc would also be a good idea.
Your devotion is a mess, I don’t know why you want torch. Here are a few others
Looks like i need more HP and OA and you pointed out some nice ones. I’m going to look these over more and make some changes. I have a question about the devotion defensive procs. If I put Turtle Shell or Tip the scales on a defensive skill does it only have a chance to proc while that skill is active? Thanks a lot for taking the time to help me out.
that build looks a lot like “Panetti’s Spellbreaker Build” (search youtube for it, cant link it right now^^)
basically, you´d go and spam the replicating missle, making the aether ray useless.
you go either - or, but having both of those is a waste of skill-points imo.
especially since you´re missing out on the huge buffs (reckless power or starpact)
just so you know - you´re going to get +X to all/arcanist skills sooner or later, meaning that every skill you unlocked (at least 1 points in), get that buff.
so - having 1 point in some seemingly small buffs (e.g. the follow ups for iskandra’s elemental exchange ) result in some pretty descent gains.
(I for example got +3 or +4 on everything in arcanist, and from items +X on several specific skills, which I only unlocked with 1 point - so now several of my 1-point-unlocks are actually level 5+ or sth. like that)
Yes and because of that you need to put them on permanent auras and buffs like IEE and Maivens and reckless power. You can even grab veil of shadow just for that or assign one of the skills to component auras you are using if you do not have enough of your own.
Hey Darshu. For beginners, you should start out leveling Arcanist and max Olexra’s for aoe and fast exp gain. Max out the passive Absolute Zero asap.
For close range, pick up dual wield and amaratsu on the NB side but have a range weapon able to deal phys/pierce dmg in case of those hard hitting bosses.
Leveling 1-35 is relative quick and easy using olexra’s freeze. Your devotion should be geared towards regen and health increase because you will be vulnerable as a melee fighter. Ultimately you will become resilient enough to withstand any attacks once maiven’s sphere and your nb dodge skills are almost maxed, and your devotion tree is almost complete.
Please check out my build to see where to devote your devotion points and to see what sort of gear is needed for this build.
