I’ve been playing a while with friends, got an occultist al lvl 39, we are four, two of us have all the expansions the other two have just the basic game, we use the launch codes on steam to disable the expansions and it work properly ecc.
Today I was playing alone with another character, I found out the item database and I wanted to check the old multyplayer character which skill I used to look for a proper rifle to use, for mistake I logged in with the “vanilla” character while the game had the expansions enabled and now I can’t use it anymore if disable the expansions so I’m no longer able to play with my friends unless I roll another character.
I did not even move, just logged in to see the skills I use to check on the item database…so, is there a way to “restore” that single character back to vanilla and be able to play again with my team?
In the document folder My Games I don’t have any file, just one called playmenu.cpn and no folders, I got the folders in the main steam folder, the one with the number 219990, is that a gog or other version?
Ok so I don’t have it, as I previously said I even run a search in windows with the name __Xandos and no luck, if I search _Xandos I find the folder in the steam path, seems I’m doomed
Probably Steam dissolved it.
You are not doomed… Cannot you just recreate your toon with GDStash and GDDefiler?
Items can probably be moved / copied somehow (with GDStash / Item Assistant, maybe even easier).
Well, it was worth a shot. If you intend on remaining on using cloud saves you can delete those saves from that folder if you wish. Or not. It’s up to you.
Just remember that cloud and local are two separate save locations. It only reads the characters from one or the other depending on your settings. What you do in one will not be reflected in the other unless you manually choose to attempt to keep them both updated simultaneously.
