Help Review My 1H + Shield Bleeding Warder

I am in the process of building a 1H + Shield Bleeding Warder. However, I lack a thorough understanding of melee.

Please help me out with skill allocation and devotions setup.

Currently, I am thinking of building it like this:

My Stat Distribution will probably be:

40 Physique
30 Cunning
10+/- Spirit

Devotions:
-Huntress
-Empty Throne
-Viper
-Dryad
-Scales of Ulcama
-Tango the Builder
-Hawk

What is the ideal weapon for a bleed build? Swords? Daggers? Axes?

I welcome all your thoughts and opinions.

Get Falcon, it’s an amazing constellation proc that adds shitloads of weapon and bleed damage.
Well, you will probably want going critical strike for bleed. If your attack crits, so does DoT from it. On pther hand, crit suck in this game…

The main problem will be those skeleton. that are immune to bleed.

Thanks for the feedback, you mean the skeleton knights?

Great idea on Falcon, thanks! Added.

Offensive devotions would be much better than a random assortment of defensive ones, it might be better to go for Mogdrogen the wolf, or unknown soldier, or both, or Oleron for blind fury.

You want a weapon that either has bleeding proc like brutallax and bloodsong, or one with flat bleeding damage. I don’t think Brutallax will be good for you though, its proc only affects single target and there is no flat bleeding on it. Empowered Gorefeast, Butcher of Burrwitch have no procs, but ~40 bleed damage / sec. When you use such weapon with a skill like cadence or transmuted blade arc, their % weapon damage would scale that number. With 300% weapon damage from cadence that 40/sec becomes 120/sec, already comparable to Brutallax proc. Not to mention cadence has its own bleed.

You forgot the main appeal of shaman - devouring swarm to debuff. It might also be helpful to get grasping wines, even if they will be underleveled, they can proc a lot of things. Like rend or howl of Mogdrogen.

I think you should use either cadence or transmuted blade arc, or both, to scale bleeding damage from your weapon, gear and devotions.

Shield training won’t help you with a single point without some gear with like +5 soldier. Overguard is also better above 4 points. You can find points for them if you give up one of the active skills. I’d also put more into military conditioning to actually feel like you are playing a warder.
