After playing with my original build a while, I’ve come to realize there are a few things that weren’t really working right, such as Stone Form rarely proc’ed when I needed it most. I realized I needed more proc damage, and took some ideas from a pierce sword and board build.
This is what I got. I do not like that Unknown Soldier is mostly for pierce builds, but I can’t see a better place to put my points even knowing that. It seems like it is good constant damage, whether or not I have a good piercing modifier. I am already liking Targo’s Hammer and Fist of Vire.
DPS with deadly momentum is 48.5K, and deadly aim and fighting spirit put me over 50K.

Anyone have any devotion thoughts? I’m not all that familiar with what physical shield users take.

Edit: This way you probably want to replace Seal of Blades with Seal of Might.
I did experiment with Trample. I’m not sure on it. I was wondering if you guys had any insight. It didn’t seem to fire off as often as I’d like.
Maybe that is because your DA is so high. What are the enemies’ hit chances?
Part of the problem with Nemesis, is they don’t attack you very often. I also only have a 60% chance to block, and with Trample, it’s 25% chance on block. So my odds to proc it when he does swing is more like 15%, and they are often slow attackers. Add in the miss chance, and that number is probably less than 10%. Living Shadow on the other hand, will last 24 seconds once proc’ed with a crit and keep doing damage.
That’s why I cam here. To see if others have real world experience on the choice. On paper, I lean towards living shadow.
