Hi guys, I need your advises. I am currently having a dilemma and I am switching back and forth devotion and talent points. Especially devotion, it cost me dearly, not only that it makes me keep farming aether crystals back and forth.
I took 50/50 points in both classes, so now there is little wiggle room for me left.
Few points to note:
I am not liking lightning damage from shaman savagery build. It only tickles a lightning nemesis, and it is AoE oriented, which my friend specializes at.
I want to focus on single target dps, which my mind definitely has piercing build.
My devotion point is still at 46/50, I’m at 75 Ultimate difficulty Act I
My gears are completely in shambles for piercing build, as most of the gears are at level 40ish. I switched to lightning build at around level 55.
Questions are:
Should I spend tribute points (crucible) for devotion points?
When going for piercing build, should I go for Unknown Soldier devotion tree?
Is blade trap or blade spirit viable in any way in piercing build?
Should I still take the exclusive maintained skill from shaman, either of it?
Which devotion tree is best to survive? I took Lost Chariot and Behemoth and still my HP plummet like mad
Million dollar question:
Do I go back to my lightning build, and farm and wait for full piercing set build?
OR
Do I gear up for subpar piercing gears and live with it until I find good gears?
In any case, I will still have to go back to Elite difficulty and farm bounties and go after my friend who is at 81 now. At crucible I kept getting wrecked since all the monsters are at 80 minimum. They all have purple text at their level.
1- Tribute points are infinite, so go for it.
2- Unknown Soldier, Blades of Nadaan, and Assassin’s Blade are what you should go for in a piercing build.
3- Most things are viable in this game, but I wouldn’t recommend them.
4- If you can get enough OA, Stormcaller’s Pact is great.
5- Anything that gets you to Tree of Life and the first three nodes of Obelisk of Menhir are best for survivability. Giant’s Blood helps too. Don’t forgot about ADCTH either.
The number one rule when asking for help is to link a grimcalc with your build and devotions. Linking your gear helps as well. Until you do it is very hard to give you advice.
My apologies for not linking any build at all. This is because as I told you before, my trickster is on a limbo. Its gears are in shambles, devotion is very scattered, skill points too dispersed. I’m stuck between having a bleed build, lightning and piercing.
However I can post you the build that I’m planning to do, I hope it will suffice. As to how to get there (gears wise), I’ll manage somehow.
Besides, how do I give a character with equipment to link to grimcalc? Or do I just post it one by one in the forum?
My current build is bleeding build. But my gears are not good enough, and I am not liking a playstyle which I have to cast a lot of spells which different cooldown timers. Was planning to go back to either storm nightblade or piercing. I prefer latter though.
You missed a few key skills in the build itself, but your devotions look decent. You could drop a few constellations and pick up Oleron if you need some damage. Here are the skill changes I would make. Keep in mind that a few +skills would give you many more skill points for a build like this.
