I was originally going for a Chaos build but had no luck of getting a Tenebris. So I switched over to Vit when I got a Death’s Reach but now I’m quite squishy. I don’t have reliable legendaries until maybe 94, but I’d have to check. I haven’t played in a while so I forgot many mechanics and where to buy stuff.
For right now, though, I need help optimizing my build because I threw all my points without really thinking just because spinning2winning was so fun. I’m in ultimate act 5.
i agree with above, but if you do it you need other damage sources than what youve got. better find some more points and maybe include another dmg source in devo
death’s reach is fun, but best used as bone harvest opressor imo. get path of the three, blood knight/ghol gear if u got it, use korvaak+cdr for lots of eyeballs
The weapon’s base damage is Vitality, not Phys. You can get around 20% Vitality -> Phys conversion from an amulet + component to convert at least a bit of the flat added Phys on the skill. You can get around 60% of the Lightning damage converted to Vitality as well, with the right helm + shoulders. Seems good enough to me, but I’m no expert
It isn’t. You need to realize that all sources of flat damage you stack on your build will only be fractionally applied to EoR because its WD is < 100%
A HUGE chunk of your damage is going to come from the skill-line itself - the bulk of which is physical.
With Death’s Reach adding 22% WD, and EoR reaching 40% WD at rank 26, you can get 62% WD total. With +50% attack speed, you can have EoR hitting 7.5 times per second, for effectively 465% WD per second.
By comparison, if I’m getting the math right, rank 26 Righteous Fervor deals 165% WD, times 1.2 when you have 9 charge levels, for 198% WD per hit. With a 1.5 base attacks/second weapon, and that same +50% attack speed, you hit 2.25 times per second, for effectively 445.5% WD per second.
That seems pretty comparable to me, in terms of how the two skills scale your flat added weapon damage. Of course, Righteous Fervor gets even more WD when you stack WPS skills on top, and I haven’t included any Righteous Fervor-specific legendaries in my math.
Am I missing something major that makes EoR have way worse effective WD/second than other skills? Is there some different comparison I should be making?
i appreciate the feedback guys and have been taking it, but i finally got a tenebris so ill be switching my build back to chaos
for those wondering, yeah vitality sucks for what i was going for, but its good enough for low-mid difficulty endgame farming. enough to get what i needed tho!
