Help with a build - Aether Sigil of Consumption (conduit) Deceiver

I put this together a while back, maybe a year or so ago I made a few non-pet builds I had ideas for. I can tell you important stats for pet gear, what you’d want to use and why off the top of my head. I am not familiar at all with non-pet gear, total newb levels of knowledge of sets and different items, so if some of my choices look strange for someone that has played the game, that is why.

I can’t say I can explain every decision I made, but I am getting 100% vitality → aether for the seals and most elemental → aether (100% fire → aether). The idea was to make some pretty tough aether sigils, ultimately and really little more than that. I think these devos are ok, but there is probably some room for improvement there. Gear? I’m not sure, thoughts? I think a few hundred OA would be a big help.

The toon can do SR65, but it isn’t ideal. It feels close to being good, but just not quite there. It eats up hordes fairly well, but the output against bosses is pretty poor. With a little DPS it could be fun… thoughts? I am sure I am missing a few obvious (to others) areas for an upgrade.

From one pet player turned into non-pets player to another:

First things first: Augments on your jewelry are a good thing, especially for raising that Aether damage.

Secondly: The reason damage falls off so hard is because outside of Sigil, you have no real ways of dealing damage to anyone. As much as it’s cool using the Shield for the turbocharged Sigils, I think it’s going to be out of place here. Instead, I’d recommend something like this:

The new off-hand + belt convert 100% Vitality to Aether, and with 100% Chaos to Aether conversion as well, you can have Doom Bolt for a second damage dealer and help you out with single-target damage. Plus fully-converted Scales will do wonders to help your passive sustain while not requiring a clunky skill like CoF to use. Plus my set-up has a lot more Casting Speed, which helps a lot even in cooldown based casters like this, just for general animation fluidity and all that.

Note: I selected the Chosen Robes because in the new test patch, the item now grants +3 to Sigil, giving you points to try and upgrade your medal slot to something more Aether oriented, so you can get over the 2,000% Aether damage hump. That’s the best I can make for you for the short amount of time I have.

Your char has pretty low % aether damage, in GT sheet it only shows 1k7. Also both masteries dont provide any % aether. Strong aether builds have at least 2k7-more than 3k%. Gears (Helm, boots, belt) hardly support aether too. For skills, I think Possession is a better choice. For devotion path, Korvaak is by far superior compares to Seru (with its path, you could take Spear too). A seal of skies/destruction for L/RMB spell spam sounds good.
