Help With Resistance Debuff

Hi All!

This is a post to comply with the 3 posts before being able to message someone, so here goes.

I’m playing my Vitality Death Knight now at about level 95. Can’t link the build as I need 3 posts or greater! lol

I just got a Mythical Spiritcrusher and the debuffs look great.

But how does the -10% Vitality Resistance stack up to Spectral Wrath with -36% Vitality Resistance (lvl13)?

Do they stack? Or the highest is selected?

And I’m guessing there’s no sense in getting Will of Rattosh devotion proc (-20% Vitality Resistance at lvl15) if only the highest is selected…

Would adding the Essence of Ch’thon augment add in the debuff? It says 15% Chance of 15% Reduced Target’s Resistances for 5sec.

Items listed are the low level target ones. So far I got the armor, helm, shield, medal and relic. Currently on Act3 Ultimate without issues.

In short: yes, they stack.

A little help with resistance debuffing...

There are 3 types of RR:
“X reduced resistance”
“X% reduced resistance”
“-X% resistance”
First two don’t stack with reductions with the similar wording, the highest value takes precedence.
The third type can be stacked infinitely.
So in your ideal build you’d want to have 1 source of “X reduced resistance”, 1 source of “X% reduced resistance” and as much “-X% resistance” sources as you can get.

Cool! Thanks. That means I have -10 + -36 + -15 Vit Res Reduction. -61% sounds enough… I hope so.

It’s good but just keep in mind that some enemies in the void have 125% vitality resistance. You should have enough but DeathKnight vitality isn’t the best vitality build I believe (nothing wrong with doing it though… everyone’s just jumping on to Krieg Bandwagon).

May as well ask here since this thread exist.

Most resistant debuff seems only works with weapon attacks (skills that have % weapon damage), I am trying to use Aura of Censure for my caster but the resistance debuff does not seem to work with either spells or weapon attack. Does the debuff only applies to the burn coming from Aura of Censure?

Also there seems to be a lack of resistance debuff that works with spells or at least I am unable to find one that works for Word of Pain.

It works on everything but the target has the be inside the range of the aura for the debuff to apply. If it moves away or you move away the effect ends.

Yeah. Saw those Krieg builds and I think it’s too common for my taste.

Ouch. That 125% Vit Res seems a lot. I guess with -61% that goes to 49% Vit Res so it still helps… somehow.

Aura of censure sucks at the moment and is not worth it at all. Master of Death is a far better option in my opinion due to the massive boost in offensive ability and the lesser boost to defensive ability.
