Help with Shield build on HC !!!

Hello folks, please critisize the build i am planning to make for hc. I want a tank shield based character and i plan occultist for my second mastery.

Build is something like this :

Not sure however about what to max or not. Btw, by maxing out the aspect of the guardian, i am gonna have the 100% poison res up most of the time right ? (15 sec cd and 30 sec duration)

Devotion:
-Lion
-Anvil
-Eel
-Jackal
-Hawk
-Targo the Builder
-Autumn Boar
-Chariot of the Dead
-Behemoth
-Revenant

I believe the devotion setup is pretty defensive too.

From gear i plan to use :

-Markovian’s Fortress Set which is pretty strong

Please give a lot of feedback coz i am not sure this will work.
I would especially appreciate good 1 handed weapon suggestions

Better remove Solael’s, the single point in MA, and a couple of points out of AotG. Relocate them in a) counter strike for additional AoE b) field command/squad tactics, as you’ll lack OA. The former fits better the heavy retaliation builds, the latter improves the straight DPS fighters.

If you gonna rely somehow on retaliation, Markovian fortress doesn’t provide any real advantage. Just a massive HP bonus. Good for a straight fighter, though.

IMO the Chariot isn’t worth it, think about if not to put these points into something with a better payoff. Like the shield maiden for ex.

thanks a lot for the answers and the feedback. I need the 1 point in MA since i think i have to allocate some devotion talents and as i saw from calc i needed ‘‘another attack skill’’.

You say the AS bonus from solael fire aint worth it ?

In this case it doesn’t worth the investments at all, as you only benefit from the AS increase. For 12 points. The slower weapon you use, the worse it gets. If you insist so badly on AS increase, maxed squad tactics will give you slightly less of it, but also 45% all damage in addition, for the same amount of points.

I’m also interested in making a sword and board Witchblade! Posting here so I can find it later, best of luck.

EDIT: A great weapon could be Earthsplitter or maybe even Damnation for the life leech.
