So… I took three characters through Normal, and now I’m on Elite. Would like to ask some questions about where to go from here regarding gear, gear farming/crafting/, faction farming etc…
So… what are good viable setups that do not require any special gear for these class combos?
Any suggestion about my skill/devotion choices, what could be better, what should i aim for?
Is there any targeted farming in this game (run one boss over and over) or just SoT/BoC?
When do legendaries start to drop, can i farm elite darius/warden for them or?
Almost no builds require legendaries to work in this game, but most are improved dramatically with them.
Don’t bother too much with farming before you reach ultimate, you should be fine with what you find along the way until then. If you really want to farm, SoT/BoC are decent, but expensive since you need skeleton keys, so you can just farm cronley, gets you lots of dynamite as well to dismantle useless epics. This gives you a few rare crafting mats (hearts/blood/brain) that you can use at the new blacksmith in tyrant’s hold to craft random legendaries.
I play physical/bleed conjurer, he has a blast while leveling, and doesnt require legendary gear (for many slots, he doesnt even have really powerful legendaries). You may go for pure bleed, but that means to be screwed by certain bleed-resistant enemies, and physical build easily facetank with ADCTH (not to mention Wendigo Totem on top of that). You even have some build-in ADCTH with Feral Hunger, rest can be get from devotions (Revenant). The problem is, he doesnt have really powerful endgame legendaries (except ring).
Witchblade is also very poweful, when played with 1-h+shield and Cadence. But for leveling, he still uses 2-hander. And he scales much better with legendaries into endgame. Without specific legendaries, i cant call him as strong as 2-h Conjurer.
As for Sorcerer - he is even more gear-dependant. He’s very strong against weaker enemies, but when it comes to hard-hitting, tanky foes, that resist ADCTH, he is in trouble. Also, i believe, Pyromancer is better for that purpose. He deals higher DPS and is less tanky, but that hardly matter, cause even Sorcerer isnt tanky enough for endgame (without really good gear).
So, Conjurer is your best choice, Witchblade is a bit worse, and Sorcerer will be the worst choice among three.
Of course, there is targeted farming, depending on your need. The best farming places are:
Cronley HO
Twin Falls wasp hive
BoC (pre-key area)
Farmed Cronley and got a legendary pistol xD Also, bleeding conjurer is the one i definitely enjoy the most, that playstyle and cc and dots are just awesome Didn’t use a potion for god knows how long But yea, now in Elite, enemies die a bit slower even though i dont have good bleeding% gear yet. Will CoF and Rend and Devouring Swarm be enough to get me to the end of Ultimate?
