What would you list as some higher damage screen clearing abilities?
With modifiers from items or anything like that. Just curious…
I find it super fun to play around. 
Not that it’s super high damage… but the conduit of warring whispers with the bleed modifier to War Cry on it comes to mind. I thought that was pretty cool.

Horn of Gandarr is one skill I don’t think I’ve used at all yet. Hmm
It can be pretty strong.
I’d say one of the element builds for it would be better for AoE rather than the base piercing because then you get some good AoE devotions to choose from (While Piercing has kind of meh AoE options)
Also, I just remembered about Fire Strike and Upheaval being good screen clears when combined with a ranged weapon and 100% chance to pass through (For example, The Desolator, Will of Fate, Vortex of Souls, Ugdenbog Arcaneweaver, Cadence) because of each target being passed through proccing the AoE effects.
It is EXTREMELY powerful. Having 5 dedicated Horn builds in 5 different damage types I can verify it’s strength. It is often overlooked for other skills.
Omen is pretty dope with dedicated sets going cold or acid. On aether builds you can use combo of Omen and aether corruption.
Pain is also nice AoE damage skill early on, later loses some ground but you have multiple items with modifiers.
AAR have great range but it’s in straight line only. Canister Bomb and other similar skills can deal great damage as well.
OFF followed by devastation or fire skellies
Fire/Burn casters typically have tons of AoE - transmuted BWC, Canister, Big One Mortars, Judgment, Guardians, Devastation etc., not to mention Fissure or Meteors in devotion.
Can vouch for Gandarr builds being fun to play, decently strong with tons of AoE backing it as well. Especially if you turn it into a pseudo-spammable it opens some doors.
A lot of skills can become that if you have the proper gear for it.

The ones I played with the most are Word of pain, Horn of gandar and Judgment
Judgment can almost be spammed with the right gear (you can get it down to 0.5 sec), but energy management is pretty difficult. it also drains a lot of your gear slots, so you’re pretty much a one-trick pony.
Horn of gandar can be pretty effective: Infiltrator, Level 100 (GD 1.1.9.1) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator (grimtools.com) (0.4 sec cooldown) and not a lot of skill points or gear investment.
Word of pain can be done a LOT of ways. but it’s mostly effective in Pierce, Aether and chaos builds, for obvious reasons, In bleed build with goredrinker set it’s also decent.

While still very much a noob, Ultos Primal Strike, in my experience, hits hard and has excellent AoE.
Primal strike with ultos set?!? Ultos wishes he could use lightning as well as a gun can
