Wut, you crazy? She’s always had a second phase where she leaves her egg sac and chase you in all difficulties.
^This. She has always had a second phase - regardless of which difficulty you are on. Hardcore is exactly the same as Softcore - the only difference AT ALL is that when you die, you die for good (with the exception that hardcore gets its own achievements). Otherwise, identical.
I know she has a second phase, but she’s always been stationary every time I have fought her, never moved once at all. I thought maybe her moving, or zoning was an added hardcore elite thing, she never moved on Hardcore veteren when I have faced her. She’s one of the main bosses I farm.
Is it possibly because other times you fought her you stayed in place and never moved away and thus she had little reason to move as well? Second phase has always been mobile.

She rips herself off in glorious fashion every time for round 2… always think of the Aliens scene it references each time I fight her.
