Hopefully there are more plans for late game

Currently at 328 hours played, I’ve done several (10+) playthroughs on vanquisher where I reach T4, have 1k pop, food is always there, gold keeps flowing in, raids are insignificant, and can basically play on x3 speed with nothing left to do but build more vaults to store the endless income of $$$.

Restarting is ok, but honestly not much can be done differently, survival requirements are always the same, the way you set up your buildings is almost always the same (industry with -%desirability on one side, housing and markets on their own)

I think late game needs more to do. There needs to be a point to finally setting up your ‘village’ and having a thriving economy beyond just watching the years go by.

i agree and why I haven’t played in about 10 days. I’m waiting for more content late game.

They should take a hint from some other games that didn’t have any real End Point.

Best example I know of is Port Royale, a trading/settling/pirate-fighting game which is up to version IV now.
Like FF, it has very good terrain and town graphics, lots of things to do and manage - at first. But after X game years, every trading ship in the Caribbean is yours, you have fleets of warships that would make the Royal Navy envious, and you are simply doing the same thing over and over again.

Replay value is minimal: after you’ve started as a Dutch, English, Spanish and French trader and progressed to the late game, the game is over for you.

IF FF is to be the really great survival/builder game I think it could be, there have to be End Points and Culmination Points achievable by various strategies and procedures - even, potentially, different Culmination Points on different map types.

Right now, there really is no End Point in the game except the artificial Population Cap: you build until you have 1000 fat and happy villagers/townspeople and positive cash flow, and then you put the game on automatic and go off and do something else.

That makes for a game with a very short ‘shelf life’, played for a few weeks after buying it and then forgotten. Not good value for the cost to the gamer, and not good economics for the game company.

I think the game simply progresses too fast. There is too much immigrants, and they come cheap.
I would like to enjoy more of each Tier for much longer.
